I had a cut and a partial head of highlights done today by Tony. The guy was in a hurry in the first place, and secondly would not listen to what I wanted for the color. I told him I wanted two foils of highlight to one lowlight, and he did all highlights. He also did not take the time to weave through the chunks of the hair he was putting into the foils, so I am left with chunks of highlight, which look horrible on the side of my head near my face. He also decided to do a "gloss" or "glaze"?? I'm not sure if that's the problem, or if he just didn't process my color correctly, but instead of all blonde, I have orange bits, which is the sign of a bad dye job. He could see that I was unhappy with my hair when he took the towel off of my head, so at least he listened to me for the length of the cut…even though he spent all of 5 minutes on it because his next client was waiting, and he wanted to get me out of there. The guy needs to learn to listen to his customers.
On TOP of all of that, there was a 20% off color special going on. The girl at the front went to ask Tony the price, and came back with $158. $158! I'm from LA and have NEVER paid that much for any of the way better dye jobs and haircuts I've had in my lifetime. I asked for the %20 off of that, the girl went back to talk to Tony, and then came back to say that he had already factored that in, but would give me $8 off and make it $150. I threw $160 at her and had to walk out. I should have demanded the offer they had on, and not left him a tip, so I went back in after walking around the mall to cool down, and complained to the manager. Instead of offering me the money back, he offered me free products. This did me no good, as I am a dancer touring the world, and don't have space for them in my luggage. I paid three days wages, only to be scared to go to sleep for fear of what I will wake up to in the morning. This salon is run poorly from the management down. My three friends who came with me to get their dye and cuts also had similar unpleasant experiences. The hairdressers do not care about their work, and the customers suffer. Please do not waste your money…or your precious hair!
