buddy freddy's. It is a good value as far as the food goes, but I'd rather have them charge a little more for the buffet and use the extra money to fix the building. The outside of the building is desparate need of a fresh coat of paint and minor repairs. It is a bit of a "turn-off" when you walk up to the restaurant and see the poor condition, you think if it looks this bad outside, what does the kitchen where my food is prepared look like? The parkiing lot needs to be cleaned up too, very trashy and landscaping needs work.

Home Cooking. My wife and I stopped by Buddy Freddy's thinking it was a sit down restaurant. My wife and I almost turned around when we saw the buffet but decided to give it a try. We were very happy that we stayed. The food was great! The food didn't have that buffet taste. I swear it tasted like home cooking. The only negative thing I would have to say is my stomach was too small.

Give it a try, you will not regret it.

Look Somewere Else. I will start with the good first, the waitress was great and the price for a buffett is about the norm. From there on everything is down hill.The food is below par and the restaurant although very nice looking at a distance is beginning to show a lot of wear. We (4) sampled a large variety of their offerings and all agree that the fried fish was the only food that was worth the 40 mile trip we made. The fried chicken was under cooked the smoked pork was over cooked and the meat loaf just wasn't any good. This is the first time in my 60 years that I have written a review on any restaurant that I have eaten at.

Southern specialities en masse. Southern buffet with everything you would expect - fried chicken, greens, biscuits, etc. Just about everything tastes good when it is fried and covered in gravy. Definitely not for the light eater.

Service Spectacular. The service staff at Buddy's is excellent! If your looking for a nice dining experience and a server who goes out of her way to please,this is the place for you. Our server was excellent and the price was great for the yummy food .

We never knew Grandma could cook so well for so many people.. The Scene
Just picture Nels and Harriet Oleson's mercantile shop from "Little House on the Prairie." Now add rocking chairs along the wood deck, a car overpass for rainy day dropoffs and pickups, a gift shop and a great buffet bar. Then delete any memories of nasty Nellie. This is the perfect place to take your grandparents. Heck, the Brandon Kiwanis Club meets there religiously at 7am every Thursday. And kids love this place.

The Food
If you need to see a menu, there's a problem. Everyone gets the buffet, not only because it's good, but because it features more than 50 items for breakfast, brunch (11am-12pm) and dinner.

Great Southern Buffet. Great food for a buffet. Love the southern cooking, best in town and the best prices too. Nice friendly staff.

homestyle without the work. Their food reminds me of my mom's cooking! The veggies have good flavor, meats are moist and tender and salads are fresh.
