Big mistake!. This place was very expensive and the food was very low end. They charged as much money as an expensive restaurant for each entree, and all you got was a little bit of thin, flavorless chicken drenched in cheap teriyaki sauce, a little bit of shredded lettuce, and a dry, tasteless California roll like the kind you would get in a cafeteria.

We tried to order an appetizer for our baby, and the waitress kept marking up the price because we wanted rice instead of lettuce, and we paid more for the appetizer than you would pay for a whole entree in a nice restaurant. Our baby didn't even like it and would not eat any of it. So we asked for a sliced orange for our baby to eat and they refused to sell a sliced orange separately (for a baby!?)

We could have gotten a much better meal somewhere else for only 1/3 the price, and that's not even including the tip, because I didn't leave one...

WORST PLACE!!!. BAD FOOD, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The sushi was OK and some was even BAD (depending on what you have). I went for the first time on Valentine's Day because I heard it's a great place. I walk in and the place looked horrible. I even put that aside and decided to give them a chance. I swear the place was packed with only 3 waitresses. You can't ask any questions or be served nicely. This place is a zoo. I had to ask them to bring me soy sauce when they brought me the edamame. Who eats it without soy sauce? When they brough the sauce they didnt bring a little plate for it and I was forced to just put it all over the edamame. And the waitress didn't even know what table ordered what. Five times they brought us good that we didn't even order and say is this yours? And then they finally bring your by trying to get your order right. Their food isn't even great only fresh. There are 10 other sushi places within a block away and they are not great competition. Go to Shogun sushi across the street or midori (3 locations on ventura). I have been to many as in 20 sushi places from encino to l.a. so I know what good and bad sushi is. I eat at least 3 times a month. After we ate and the lady brought us the bill which was about 70 dollars, we put a hundred dollar bill. The waiter comes back and tells us they can't except this bill because it was one of the older hundred dollar bills. Are you kidding? Money is money. After highlighting the bill with those special markers and the signs of a real bill showing the waiter comes back and tells us still that he can't except it. I had to tell them to use that pen and when they did and it worked they still said no. Then whats the point of having that pen or even using it?

HORRID, RE-USED GINGER!!!. OK.....let me say this. I HATE THIS PLACE WITH HEATED PASSION.

I was there with 4 friends for the food and alcohol. The thing is,,,they kept bringing us the wrong order. They also tried to OVERCHARGE Us.. Not only that but the owner (THIS KOREAN LADY) talked sh*t about us in front of our FACES thinking that we were japanese. WHAT THE HECK ??????????????

I would never in a million years eat here again. The food, BLEH, the people, EVEN WORSE. is that how one does business??? By being rude and talking about customers to their face ???????????

if you do go there. PLEASE tell them about this review! They MUST KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING WRONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!

terrible service, talks bad about you in Korean.. i came here because it was close to my home. They got my order wrong and brought out the wrong thing. It took them 20 minutes to give me the right food. The service was terrible. The owner definitely does not know how to run a business. She actually was saying rude comments about our table in Korean (its a Korean owned Japaneses restaurant). She didn't think i was Korean, until i said something about it to her. She just ignored me and started cleaning our table while rolling her eyes. Do not go here. The food is really overpriced for the low quality rolls and fish. My friends and i are definitely not going back here.

One of the worst sushi restaurants in the valley. I found Kyoto Sushi online, read the reviews and went to eat lunch. It was one of the worst sushi restaurants i've ever been to. I've ordered several rolls and a few sushi dishes to start. The prices were high for a restaurant that had no ambiance. It was just a plain restaurant in a strip mall, nothing special at all. I didn't know how the food tasted, I didn't want to spend too much money. I was glad that I didn't. Everybody makes california rolls and this one tasted a little off. Even my 6 year old son said that he didn't like that taste. Pork cutlet was very salty and overly sweet. Spider roll was very fishy. Spicy scallops were fishy, not so spicy and too sweet.

As for their service, they were not very friendly but not rude. However, I overheard them complaining between the two servers when a group of young girls ordered sushi not all at once but multiple times. They did have all-you-can-eat sushi but I won't be be to try it. Definitely a restaurant to avoid. There are too many good sushi restaurant nearby to waste your money here.

The best all you could eat sushi place. I was taken here for my birthday 07/12/05 and loved the food and how fresh it taste. I have made it a habit to go at least once a week to treat my taste buds. I love this place and have recommended this to everyone I know . If you are trying sushi for the first time this is the place to go.

At Least Once a Week. Once a week I go to this place that has an all-you-can-eat sushi deal for $25. The sushi menu consists of a plethora of sushi. Their ingredients are fresh and they got an "A" from the city. An "A" grade is crucial for a sushi restaurant. Their rolls are a generous serving. My favorites are the Tiger Roll, Honey Roll, and the O'Baby Roll. Their fish is fresh, and they always use new batches of rice. The service is superb: the waiters are at your service and they are quick to respond. The sushi chefs are fast and excellent: especially Danny. If you can get a seat at the sushi bar, ask for Danny - he's entertaining and a fast and thorough sushi chef. Make sure you bring an imaginary microphone with you and hand it to him because he'll put on a show for you.

Best spicy tuna hand rolls!!. This is the best suhi joint I've been to yet. I've tried fancy shmansy places and those mom and pop hole in the walls and this is the most freshest, tasty sushi I've had. I highly reccomend Kyoto.

hmmm...all u can eat sushi.. When you see "all you can eat" ANYTHING...it cant be top quality. By the nature of it being that way... Ive been here 3x..and it is NO WAY the best sushi in LA..nor is it even close! The people working there arent even japanese! Its a friendly restaurant though, and the value for what you get is actually not bad if you are use to average sushi. The last time i went there, something i ate didnt work well with my tummy....c'mon...if some sushi can cost $10 a piece...imagine what quality a $25 "all u can eat" gets ya! Kabuki sushi over at Reseda is way better or even Go Sushi at Canoga...and if you can drive down to Santa Monica, try Echigo or Sasubuni. Now that's good sushi.
