Pleasant place. Quick with repairs. Feel comfortable outside alone after dark. Reasonably quiet. Would recommend to a friend.
I see in other reviews that people complain about not being warned about service interruptions (such as water being turned off for maintenance), but we always have received prior written notice when these are necessary. Some of the staff might be a bit unpleasant to deal with, but we rarely have any reason to interact with them. Rent payment and maintenance requests are available online. Maintenance always announces themselves and waits for a reply before entering.
Great Community – I moved here from out of state sight unseen after having a long conversation with one of the rental agents reassuring me of the quiet and safety of the complex.
When I arrived, my place was very clean, I don't hear my neighbors (perhaps they are the quiet respectful type') and any issues I have for maintenance are addressed quickly.
I never have a parking issue, even being on the main road it is relatively quiet except for the occaisional overly loud car stereo.
Overall I would highly recommend River Chase!
Hostile, sadistic management
Hostile. The management, after being nice enough to show you model apartments that don't really exist, and get u in here, is SADISTIC and HOSTILE. Have you ever heard the expression that the only reason the germans were on trial at nuremberg was because they lost the war? We have those same kind of miserable, horrible people in the Korman (sig heil), customer service office. Mary Afrika, Sharon the bitch manager, et al. You CAN'T consider bringing yourself and your family to this unhealthy place. The water damage from hurricane Irene is still present in many apartments. Korman has enough legal pull, to postpone getting mold (which may have killed one woman found dead here) out of these apartments. And the lease says they can put you out ANYTIME. They can and have refused to renew leases of people that have complained about the disgusting conditions. Lastly, when you inevitably leave here or are put out on short notice, the cable boxes belonging to Korman won't be turned in, and Comcast will be after you to pay for their equipment. Isn't life complicated enough for you without you having to deal with maintenance entering your apartment with no notice, whenever they feel like it? Whether ur home or not? At any hour? You can live in relative luxury elsewhere in bensalem or surrounding area, for what you pay for these miserable, unhealthy apartments, and not have to deal with sociopathic management, like Sharon Graf, Mary Afrika, and the miserable organization behind them.
health related death at Korman Ark in Bensalem – One elderly woman has recently died here, possible health issues. Mold in the apartments, constant water and leak problems. Maintenance invades apartments without notice, and management considers you 'menacing' if you complain about anything too loudly. Bensalem code enforcement has been all over this place, (Verna Franklin 2156333670), handling all the mold smell and water complaints, to no avail. Kormann is at war with it's tenants here. Don't believe it? knock on any door at the Neshaminy valley drive apartments, or ask anyone at their gym, next to their opulent sales office on Neshaminy Boulevard. Moving here is suicide financially, and otherwise.
Don't move to Riverchase. – First off, I have lived at Riverchase for three years. I have made no waves with the exception of the a work request here or there and have always paid rent on time and have never been approached by management for any negative reason. Saying that I shall start my review.
Not only are the apartments very mediocre, but the staff is horrible. Water is shut off for maintenance without notification. Fire alarms have gone off without reason in the middle of the night. Work requests frequently go unnoticed. I am currently fighting with them about moving out at the end of my lease. You have 60 days to notify them before the end of the lease date and they won't give us any verification that they have received our notice to vacate. They do whatever they need to do to get you in the door then they treat you like feces the moment you sign on the dotted line. I had a good experience to begin with, but after time you'd think they would favor their long term clients. I recommend finding somewhere with a better track record and actually stop by and talk to a resident.
Deceitful management, scam-like sales tactics – My fiance and I applied for an apartment through this company on September 24, 2009. We requested multiple times to see the lease before we put down our money ($149), they (Deb) refused saying they could not print a lease until we have been approved. Not knowing any better we put down the money, confident that an ethical business would not behave in the manner that the management has since behaved. We were approved September 28, 2009. We went in the same day to get a copy of the lease, the lease was finally provided. Within the lease we found multiple clauses that we were not comfortable living with. The primary one was that air conditioning failure was not considered an emergency repair and under the terms of the lease, they only had to fix it within 7 business days – which is completely unacceptable given that this is Florida and most of the year is excruciatingly hot. The afternoon of the 28th we called management and requested our moneys returned because we would not sign the lease. For the last two days, management has stalled, ignored, and “hid” from us by pretending to be out of the office, refusing to return phone calls, etc. I am seeking resolution in the form of moneys returned promptly. We made a good faith deposit, and they have decided to act more like scam artists than professionals.
GREAT place to live! – I've lived at Korman Residential at River Chase for the past year, and I really enjoy living here. What initially attracted me to River Chase was the fact that they are pet friendly. I have a Jack Russell terrier, Winnie, who is like my child, so it was obviously necessary for me to choose a place where they accept dogs. The fact that the complex is beautiful and my apartment is gorgeous is icing on the cake. I've honestly never lived anywhere before where everything kind of fell into place for me. Everywhere else I've lived, I've always had problems...either with the staff or maintenance issues with my apartment. The staff at River Chase has been awesome, and I haven't had any problems with maintenance at all. Sometimes I want to pinch myself!
I would highly recommend Korman Residential at River Chase to anyone who is looking for a great place to live!
