Best Grouper Sandwich!! – They must have gotten new staff since the last reviewer, because we had a great experience. Its a cute little mom and pop restaurant on the bay with really decent prices.

It was a seat yourself kind of atmosphere and we were greeted as soon as we walked in. I got the grouper sandwich and my boyfriend got a burger. It took about 15-20 minutes, but we weren't in a hurry.(My boyfriend got his burger cooked Well too) I live in Florida, and this is one of the best grouper sandwiches I've had in a long time. Kudos.

Its a pretty cool place. There's a pirate ship right out front on the water and there's pirate memorabilia, t-shirts and the like for sale. I liked the feel of it. Its almost a hole in the wall place surrounded by chain restaurants. Its nice to see a family owned restaurant in the midst of it.

The owners were even there and stopped by the table to check on us. Our server was nothing to write home about, but she wasn't rude either. We never had to wait for beers and our food was hot and came out right away.

Its a nice little gem right on the beaten path. Its well worth the price, especially for the area. I recommend it!

Bad Food - WORST Service! – Rude Staff, Greasy Food NEVER GO HERE!

My fiancé and I live in St Petersburg and love to try different local restaurants. We just went to John's Pass on Saturday and wanted a quick bite to eat. We saw a few people lined up to order so we thought this would be a winner. We were so very wrong!!!

When we got up to the counter to order, the woman that takes orders was very rude and disinterested in giving any customer service. I smiled at her and asked about the Fish Tacos that were on special that day. She said, "they are tacos" and looked at me like I was an idiot (and she never said hello nor did she EVER smile). Because I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I decided on a seemingly safe bet and went with fish n chips. My fiancé got an open faced sandwich.

They offer indoor and outdoor seating which seemed clean both in and out. Next to the order window, there is a bar and several tables to sit at. There were two women that just stood at the doorway where there was a high table. You could tell that they worked there, but they did absolutely nothing when we walked in. No "hi, how are you" or "welcome". They just talked trash about customers that just left. Really?! In this economy, this is how you behave?!

So we went back out to wait for our food. And wait we did...for about 20 minutes. We glanced at the window and saw our food up there. Nobody called our name. So I walked up to talk the the rude and unconcerned employee. I asked, very politely, if that was our food. She said, "I called out Brian"...very short and rude answer. I was appalled! I have never been treated like this before!!! I said to her, "well we were standing right there (about 5 feet away from the counter) and did not hear you". She never even looked at me. So we picked up our food and walked in to the indoor dining area as it was chilly.

The food. The food was dripping with grease. I ate maybe three fries. I was given two fish nuggets that were disgusting. My fiance was not impressed with his food, but still ate it because he was that hungry.

While we were sitting there, three women came in and asked if they could have some drinks. One of the two women turned her head and said that was fine. Neither of them thought it was necessary to walk over to them (about six feet from where they were standing) and take their order. Eventually, the three women left and went next door. The rude woman that took orders came in and needed $1 bills...she then complained in front of customers that she only had $2 in the tip bucket. WELL, I can ONLY GUESS WHY!!!! Maybe because you are rude, don't care, and are horrible at your job!!!!

After the rude lady left, the two lazy and incompetent women starting talking about the ladies that left. They seemed pretty clueless about why they left. THEY LEFT BECAUSE OF THE HORRIBLE LACKING OF SERVICE!!!!

This is the first review that I have ever written (and will probably be the last because I doubt another place could equal this disgusting display of customer service and bad food), but felt that I needed to spread the word about this so nobody else wastes their time and money.
