Crooked Bartender, Rude Experienc – First I must compliment the excellent food! We have been to this location in St. Pete. several times, as well as Charlies in Orlando. Second, I regret that we will no longer continue enjoying your Restaurants.

We went with a Birthday guest to your restaurant on 11/09/10. We sat at the bar as we usually do to eat our meal. The time on my receipt is 8:39. The bartender is Alison. There are three people in our party. We have been there before and have also been served by the same bartender several times. However, last night Alison did not seem in an especially good mood right from the sit down.

I have no complaint with the food. I have no complaint with the Birthday Special. I have no complaint with the waiters/waitresses serving the food at the bar.

My problem is the BARTENDER. ALISON.

I drink Mount Gay Rum. The first time I came to Western Cattle Co. over the last year, I was pleasantly surprised that they had it. I was also told that it was a brand that they did not sell much of and that it was not stocked as readily as the more popularly sold liquors. As a matter of fact, there is not even an inventory key to ring up Mount Gay. It is charged as Bacardi. I had two previous drinks before the SHORTEST POUR I have ever seen, just to make sure she had more left in the bottle to sell me. I saw her do it. I saw saw her try to hide it from me by turning her back as she did it. I saw her put an extremely shy drink in front of me and charge me for it. I questioned her about it. She became argumentative and extremely rude about it. I caught her. I spoke up. She could not handle the situation professionally herself. She has no class, no sense of how to protect her reputation or the establishment she represents. She went to get the Manager. He was no better than her!

I told him I knew waht she was doing. We were the only three customers she had that sat her bar all night. We have been there before. She knows who we are. There was also an 18% gratuity included in our ENTIRE check because of the Birthday. She was padding her pocket. She knew she could sell me one more drink. The other short one she left in the bottle just for that reason. After I confronted about it, she gave it to me and claims that it was not short. It was a FULL FREE SHOT! Well, here is my FULL FREE SHOT! Nothing was done to correct the event. Nothing was appologized for. Nothing but a very BAD EXPERIENCE.

I am also a local business owner. I know the value of my customers. I value my employees as well. I stand behind when they are right. I correct the situation POLITELY when they may be wrong! However you choose to handle this is your decision. I know what mine would be. I will forward this to Corporate.

As of the time I wrote this letter to the Managers of the St. Pete. location and emailed it to them, five days ago, I still have had no repsonse.

My advice to those customers that order cocktails with their meals, watch out for the bartenders. They make more money off the short pours that the food! Order Shots and a side of mixer!

Best Steak I had in Pinellas County so far! – The place doesn't look appetizing from the outside, so although I had driven by many times, I would have never eaten there without a recommendation. I'm sooooo glad I tried it.

My husband really wanted to try it because his co-worker raved about it, so we went on his birthday a few years ago. He upgraded his free meal to the porterhouse steak and I got the T-bone. Huge cut of meat, aged, apple wood smoked and cooked to perfection!

I have to say that they need a major face lift as far as decor goes...but I guess that could be a part of the "old west Texas nostalgia".

If you know good steak, you'll like this place.

ok food – if you like blue cheese or ranch dressing on your salad, you won't find it there. if you like prime rib you won't find it there. if you like a friendly and attentive waiter you probably might get that there if you don't get the same waiter our party had on 9/25/2009! all in all the over priced steaks were cooked to perfection.

Outback is better – Texas Cattle Co definitely has some high points. For example: the salad is great & the portions are large. But they don't seem to know how to cook steak. The last 2 times I was there every piece of meat at the table was undercooked. The steak did not have a good flavor. The Texas Cowgirl cut ( the one that is given away on your borthday) is over priced and of poor quality. At this point, I'd have to say that my favorite steak restaurant in the Tampa Bay area is Council Oak @ Hard Rock. If I want a steak and don't want to venture out of Pinellas, I would definitely take Outback over this place.

Ate at the rest, this is the best. Reservations are best. – I have ate at those high dollar steakhouses in Tampa, there is no comparison. This is the best. You can spend anywhere from $18.00 up to $32.00 for the 5lb. steak, but if you eat all of the 5 lb'er it's free. And if you have a problem with your steak, manegment will give you a card for a free one the next time. Did I mention you get the $18.00 steak free on your birthday?!

Great wait staff..excellent steaks – The Best of the Best. I have dined at many of the high end steak houses and must admit Texas Cattle beats them all. Prices were excellent the Rib Eye steak I had melted in my mouth and the garlic potatoes were to die for. The salad was awesome. The wait staff was very attentive..all in all job well done Texas Cattle and I will drive the 45 mins to dine again...

The Best T-bone – The country western decor is not the same atmosphere of Burns, but just as awesome steaks without quite the extreme price. I have not had a better steak anywhere.
