I would not recommend anyone to mid Atlantic finance worse company I've ever had to deal with just a plain rip off
I live in Bullhead City, AZ.....If you have a phone that you can hit record while you are talking on the phone. I did and I have an attorney, and I plan to use those recordings. My Attorney is Pro Bono to help me with my car. The place, Freedom Auto, where I bought my car, sold my contract to Mid-Atlantic Finance Co. without notifying me and that’s when everything went to HELL. Freedom Auto has the right to sell my contract BUT Freedom Auto was suppose to notify me, which they should have, and at that time I would have the right to say NO!!! Which I would have done too. It is on the back of my contract. So, Mid-Atlantic Finance Co. called me and said they were sending me a payment coupon book, when I got it the payment coupon was numbered 007 and went to 024, by my calculations that's alot more than what I had left owing and also by Freedom Autos receipt of the balance due. Mid-Atlantic continuously harassing me and wanted $600 right off the bat. I told them I just made a $600 payment on 02/15/2013, so I could be ahead, but they kept calling and harassing me. I called Freedom Auto and told them. The manager of Freedom Auto called Mid-Atlantic for me to see what she could do, when she called back she said Mid-Atlantic won’t take anything less than $600 and they won’t work with me either. I told the manager at Freedom Auto I did not give my consent to sell my contract to ANYONE and pleaded to them to buy it back. They said they would and then they would call me when they had my contract back. I was not able to make any payments to anyone because Freedom didn't have my contract and Mid-Atlantic was in the process of selling my contract back to Freedom Auto. I called Freedom 12+ times (I have my cell phone provider records as proof) and asked to speak to the OWNER because I knew we had to talk about how to make sure I would still be in good standing because of them buying back my contract and I wanted to keep in touch so knew when I could start making my payments again.........THREE months later I got a call from Freedom Auto's manager, discussing my payment and I reassured her I would be in on the 5th of August to make my normal payment of $150, because that is what it said on my last receipt of when the next payment was due, the manager of Freedom said OK. Then 2 hours later I get a call and the manager of Freedom said the "OWNER" was #$%$ and he wants $300 by the end of the week, I told her I did not have that kind of money and I reassured her that I would be in on the 5th of August to make my payment, which I did. Then the next payment on the 20th of August came and I figured I would make the payment on the 23rd of August, because I had 2 Doctors appointments, 1 appointment with my Orthopedic Surgeon for a recheck (ha-ha, recast) because I had surgery on the 13th of August because I had a tumor on my Achilles, and the Dr had to reconstruct my Achilles ... and Freedom was out that way, in Fort Mohave, AZ. On the 22 of August my car was repossessed. I was devastated and confused because I have a lot of receipts proving I was anywhere from 2-6 days after the date the payment was due without any issues since the day I signed the contract October 19 2013. I made sure when I signed the contract I expressed that my paydays are every other Friday and both the salesman and manager of Freedom said that "that would not be a problem." But they came to get the car on the 22nd of August anyways. I frantically called to get an attorney and I am thankful I could get a Pro Bono attorney immediately. I got a car through mid-atlantic I only had my car for two weeks
and I started pouring money into it then try and call them to see if I can get some help with pushing my payment ot the end to try and get it fix they told me no they will not work woth you they only have been rude and hang up in your face like you owe them something every time something go wrong it's major I am tired of put money in to a car that needs to be fix every time I wish I can just talk to some one that will help me they act like its easy out here I wonder what world they live in
Seems to be a consistent theme with these people. They called me yesterday and stated I owed 1200.00 and my car was in repo status. In addition they drew 436.00 out of my account without authorization. I only authorized 150.00. I told them to pull the recording to verify it but that's been about 6 weeks ago and they still haven't done it. I agree with the above post, time to get a lawyer. I loved Tony, my account manager prior to this crap but he is gone. The rest of them act like Natzi's, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Particularly when we are all paying such high interest rates. Bad place to do business!!!!!
My auto loan was sold to Pelican Resoure Group then to Mid Atlantic and I have to say Mid Atlantic has to be a great finance company. Pay your payment on time they some bother you, have hard time paying payments they will work with you as long as you follow up to your end. Great company. Enjoyed working with Cindy who was great and very helpful.
Worst Finance Company Ever – This company is associated with some of the worst car dealers. I bought a car from G&D the worst car sales people in the world. These people will jack up the price you owe on your car and loose track of your payments. I paid my car two weeks in advance and then one day I was called by somebody in their company saying I owed a week. I did not have the stub for the money order I sent so I lucked out of a weeks payment. These people are rude also every time you want to make a payment they charge you a $7 charge. Worst place ever.
Worst finance company ever!!! – My auto loan got sold to Mid Atlantic just over a year ago. Ever since then I have had nothing but problems. There is a guy Jose that works there, never in my life met someone so rude to a customer. They lied to me constantly. I like alot of others fell on some really hard times and Mid Atlantic said they would help me out. With only 1200 left to pay off my truck they came and took my truck with no notice. I was told that it was 30 days past the end of my loan. i had to come up with the 1200+ they charged me with a 400 dollar tow fee. then the impound lot charged me with a 255 dollar fee to get it out. looks like Mid Atlantic double dipped. I was told they were going to take my payments that i missed and move them to the end of my loan extending my loan. That was a lie since my loan was never extended. I have just started working and Mid Atlantic with all there lies almost cost me my job and other things. Thanks for the screw over Mid Atlantic!!! Never again when Im able will i go through this company again!!
Never a problem. – I bought a truck from a dealer in Dayton, OH and when no one else would finance me Mid Atlantic did. Throughout the 4 years of my relationship with Mid Atlantic I dealt with many people, but Katherine was my favorite. Never got a rude person or ever had any problems at all. When the vehicle was finally paid for I got my title within a month. There were even times when I had trouble paying and Mid Atlantic worked with me. I truly don't know why so many people had problems.
scam artist company – I cant believe the USA lets businesses like this continue to run. The operators are so rude , im sure there is no training required. Of all the questions ive ask ive never gotten the same answer to a question twice.
The CSRs are horrible.. – This company called me 2 days before valentines day and offered me a payment deal to postpone everything until the following week (2 payments at once). THEY INSISTED I PAYED LIKE THAT!!!
The payment was an EFT and they received it!
They called me a week later and the CSR called me a deadbeat and said that my payment bounced.. IT DID NOT!
Keep in mind I have NEVER been late on a car payment or mortgage payment IN MY LIFE!
I cleared it up with them and they ensured me that the payment was received but the CSR that called me was so rude... If I had the choice I would exclude them from the deal entirely!
