The potters house helped me and my kids – I went there with my two kids in 2011 Mrs. Sandy helped me in every way possible. I did not ever notice anything wrong with anyone. That place is a christian place I dont know what anyone is talking about when they said Mr. Manny touch anyone in there. But they are only there to help people in time of need what ever there situation is... I am thinking about going back so they can help me again because I have hit some bad times with no where to go... I am 21 years old when I was there I was 20 years old

Shut Down due to owner getting touchy with girls – I attended during the summer of 2003 along with 20+ other girls. This girls home is ran by an older couple in their 70s (back then) named Sandy (woman) & Manny (man). They charged my parents and most folks $800/month supposedly for food & board, forced you to give up custody of your kid to them, and adamantly pitched to the parents that they were active christians and would teach their children better morals then those they came to the home with. On the day you arrived, both owners were present, they assured you that Sandy would always be present, any unchristian items were taken away from you, and your hand was tied to another girls hand (who'd been there for a long time) in front of your parents to show the seriousness of their words in front of them. What they DIDN'T tell you is that they used that money to buy a dozen horses, and Sandy was NEVER present (which left Manny to "tend" to the girls alone) because she would take their daughter & grand-daughter up to North Carolina with a horse of two to race them. Some of the girls were promised that they would be allowed to ride the horses as long as they signed a contract stating that they would wake up at 3-4am cleaning up horse crap, clean the stables, then finally wash and fully groom each horse on a day-to-day basis. These girls already had other chores to do on top of that and would miss school because of it. Now as far as paying for food comes into play, they should be charged with for starvation and feeding under aged kids rotten food. They would get expired and moldy food from a nearby grocery store to feed us. For breakfast/lunch we'd have 15mins each course to stuff our faces with who knows what and if we didn't our chores perfectly then they would take away our time to eat and time to sleep. Girls would try to get their chores done so badly that they'd miss meals (if you'd call them that) and sleep. Isn't that border line torture? *READ COMMENTS FOR MORE..*

Potters House helped me!! – In 1994 I was a 16yr old who went to the Potters House by choice of my own. I was 4 months preg. and stayed at the home until my child was 3 months old. I and my child both returned home safely. During my stay I was able to complete my high school education through the home school program. I was provided the medical attention I needed and delivered a healthy 9lb child. I was assisted in searching for an adoptive family but chose to keep my child. I had a few sessions of counsling and was provided with the ability to work outside of the home to earn money. Along with being in the home we had expected chores. During my stay I felt this was harsh but it taught me the structure I benefit from today. I have read the post that says: No phone, TV or computers. The home does have TV's that we were allowed to watch at approved times along with computers for school and phones. I never witnessed any abuse verbally or sexually. I have no clue what happened prior or after my stay but The Potters House help me become the person I am today. Thank you Sandy & Manny

A former student at Potter's house girls home – Dear, viewers

My name is Tasha Williams, I first want to say that i am a living witness to the potter house program.. I enter the program when i was sixteen years of age.. When i first got into the program i was out of control. And then Mrs sandy was the one help me to come realize that i am more important and that god had a plan for me..The program was a good thing it help me.. and i can say that do help alot people. They give there hearts out to those girls. they help other other people in the communtiy.. They give people food when they are in need. and they make sure that every girl has everything they need. Mrs, sandy takes time out for every girl to help them with the issues they are going through. People say that is rude when shes not. she just wants the best for every girl. Yes she has a lot of rules, but with out rules, there would be no control. and with out no control there will not be no peace or any thing going the right way. Mrs sandy is a great person inside and out. Mr, mandy makes sure that the house has food, and make sure the grass in cute that the house is safe. He makes sure that evry body gets all there need met like food clothes, shelter. They give a home to girls. For someone girls never had a place to call home, but at the potter house they feel like home and they can call it home, For my point of view, The potter house is a place where familys can come back toeghter. Being at the home and have someone to talk to any time you need, it helps. i think the home is a great place. If you have a trouble teen that needs a place that can help them get back to liveinf life to the fullest, and to have god work in them and to have love and careing, potter house is the place to go. If yall have any questions my phone number is 6789287-6865. Plese lord god help Mrs, sandy and Mr mandy to keep this place open. thank you....
