I love Abracadabra Salon! From the welcoming greeting from the receptionist/owner to the experienced and phenomenal stylists/colorist, this is a gem. I highly recommend both Shannon and Monica for cut and color. They are personable, friendly and just get it right! I love the new express blow out service, ah finally somewhere I can get a blow out that lasts for days and isn't crazy expensive. Give them a try at their new location, you will love it!
Not worth the stress or pain; not relaxing ~ NOT Elite! – For the sake of balancing the 2 good reviews, I must tell our side of the story. The salon was like an assembly line workshop. The Vicki the nailgirl greeting was rushed, unfriendly and impersonal. The manicure/pedicure was worse. Don't get me wrong, the end result was basically nice looking nails. The manner in which it was accomplished was anything but relaxing. The service was incredibly rushed and definitely ROUGH. It was NOT spa-like by any means. To make me lift my foot or move, I was repeatedly tapped on the leg instead of getting verbal cues which I understand now is not unheard of. But when I asked to tell me simply what she wanted instead, nothing changed. Whatever was done was done way TOO FAST and herky-jerky. She cut me with the old scissors 2 times and I now have a scab detracting from the nicely polished toenail ~ not to mention opportunity for infection. We should've listened to our gut and gotten out after the first 2 minutes but felt awkward about doing so. It def was not worth the money, which came to over 80 $. Communication was limited, warmth-factor absent, skills marginal, and it was actually STRESSFUL for us. My feet cramped up; for the manicure I had to hold my hands elevated with no surface to rest them. Huh? When polishing my fingernails 'my girl' rested her arm/bracelet on my fresh paint leaving a ding. I've never had such an UNRELAXING experience in a salon. I had hoped for a relaxing, bonding experience and all we got was pretty polish, a small wound, and hopefully something to laugh about years from now. Don’t go there worst place to go for u Nail
It was the best Pedicure and Manicure I have ever had. Vicki, the Pedicurist, is very detailed in her work and gives the best massage. No one has ever done my feet so well with callus removal as Vicki. She is a Nail Specialist and is above the rest when it comes to knowledge and service. She is certified to do Cancer Patients and Diabetics too.
Shannon, the Stylist, did exactly what I wanted when it came to my haircut, color and highlights. It was the best scalp massage by the Stylist. I recommend that for sure. My husband agreed it was the best style I have had in years and definitely took 10 years off my looks. I'm so pleased! She carefully explained what to expect for the end results with the color and highlights and it came out just like she said it would...beautiful. I'm going back for a Keratin Treatment since Shannon knows exactly what to do and does them often.
I didn't have time to do a facial or massage, but the room sure looks inviting....
When I arrived they was just finishing a wedding and all the girls hair and make-up looked fabulous. They were all so pleased with their services.
My stylist Shannon is AMAZING, the absolute best ~ You will love her work, she is extremely talented. People in this salon are very warm, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend Shannon and the wonderful staff~ You will not be disappointed~
I have been going to Abracadabra for years. Everytime I go there I am always greeted by the friendly receptionist/owner. The place has such a great feeling to it. The ambiance is just so calm and welcoming and the prices are so reasonable. The whole staff: stylist, pedicurist, and masseuse are all so very nice. I walk out of there with my hair and nails looking beautiful always and their massages are OMG WONDERFUL! I love Abracadabra because I leave there feeling like a new woman and it feels amazing! I can not say one bad thing about it. I will continue to go there for many more years to come!
Best place in town! Love the fact that it's a one stop shopping: hair, nails, waxing, facials and massage. What more can you ask for with an amazing group of professionals!!!
I've been going to this salon for almost seven years. It is family owned and operated, and I've felt like family since the first appointment. The stylists are great, they listen to your ideas and they are up on all the new styles for each season. The salon has recently been updated and looks fabulous! I definitely recommend this salon for hair cuts, blow drys, keratin treatments, color and spa services. Thank you, Abracadabra staff for your fantastic ongoing service!
I am literally stopped on the street or wherever I am and complimented on how great my hair looks and asked where did I have it done! I have been a client at this salon for over 4 years now. I have always been treated like they have known me forever. The staff is very experienced and knowledgable and make suggestions that make my hair better and easier to manage. With recent remodeling and addition of massage and spa services, they have made this salon bigger and better. You deserve to treat yourself to the magic at Abracadabra!
Where did Customer Service go? – I made an appointment at Abracadabra a while back. I was excited and used the 10% coupon I found on their website. When I got to my appointment, I was surprised by the unprofessional rude greeting I received from the receptionist, who I found out was the owner later on. She was indignant to me told me to have a seat and I would be serviced as soon as my stylist was free. After sitting and waiting a long while, I realize that the foul language was coming from the mouths of the employees. It seemed that some of them were more concerned in helping one another do there own hair and makeup that I felt like an intrusion. Finally, I was approached by my stylist and praying that my hair would simply be one color. She sat me in her chair and asked me a few questions. While she was doing my hair she was talking to her co-workers around her and the conversation was more appropriate for a loading dock and not a salon. My hair cut was not what I requested and the color darker then I expected, however at least I was able to leave and not wear a hat. The salon could stand a serious dosage of professionalism starting with the owner. Especially since the owner was allowing the stylists to run a muck, it was like “girls gone wild” for hairdressers. Next time I will save my money and try Supercuts.
