Poor customer service, very rude staff, very long wait time – I've never had such a terrible experience at a doctor's office. It is apparently the norm for a regular eye exam appointment to take 2-3 hours. You are first rudely greeted by the office staff, if at all. You then sit in the tiny waiting room with 6 other patients waiting to see the doctor (all with appointments as well) and complete paperwork. It's then a 15-30 minute wait to have your routine tests done by an assistant. Then back to the waiting room for 30-60 minutes to wait for the doctor.
She is rude, brief, and doesn't explain very much. She dilated my eyes without even telling me anything and then sent me into the waiting room to wait for another 30 minutes before she saw me again.
I came in with a problem with far vision in my left eye. She didn't even let me finish explaining the problem. She just gave me some eye drops and told me to use those. When finishing the exam, she recommend that I get glasses to help with my close up reading vision. I asked her if they were reading glasses or prescription glasses and what they were for and she ignored me, saying that I just need to go out to the lobby, pick out glasses, and the lady out there would know. Turns out they were expensive prescription glasses. I chose not to get them and the staff was rude about it. Again - I had a problem with far distance vision and she prescribed expensive reading glasses to me. The drops she gave me for the far distance problem haven't helped at all. I spoke to my insurance provider and they are allowing me to go to another doctor free of charge because I had such a horrible experience with Dr. Grand.
If you choose to go here, be prepared for unhelpful, rude staff and several hours of wasted time.
Wait for way too long – The Exam took several hours, including an extra hour waiting for the optician to do her thing to order your glasses. I then waited for a month for the glasses to come in. Then it took several attempts over the next three weeks to just make an appointment with their no-personality desk staff. The appointment was finally set for ten a.m., no one waiting, optician did not decide to arrive until 10:45, handed me my glasses, never fit them, and showed no personality and did not apologize for the delay. Go elsewhere.
Terrible Experience – The only good thing about this place is that they handle insurance claims in house and the exam was very thorough. However, what is normally a 45 minute exam took more than three hours here. Add an hour to your appointment time to figure out when you will actually be seen. The test lenses given to me were the wrong prescription and I had to continually come back to the waiting room, while the doctor answered personal calls and the assistants stood around.
I would not recommend this place at all.
