M D. review below describes this place perfectly.....
They are absolutely 100% horrible at customer service and aren't very professional at all. First off just going in for a simple oil change requires you to stand in the lobby area waiting to be helped (minimum of 15 minutes) while workers ignore you and simply tell you to hold on while they carry on conversations with the other employees. It doesn't matter if you make an appointment or not because the minimum time they will always tell you to wait for something simple like an oil change is 1 hour. What's the F'n point of an appointment then? The ONLY reason I even went there for an oil change is because they honor dealership service plan tickets from a car purchase. I was told I would have to wait an hour for an oil change (had an appointment) while the oil change service bay wasn't occupied or even in use. I was also told all mechanics were busy on other work when we had just walked through the waiting area only to see a mechanic F'ing around on his phone. He wasn't on break or at lunch because one of the workers there asked him that in front of us and he said no and then smiled. But yea make someone with a 15 minute oil change wait a minimum of an hour because all your mechanics are "busy"...
This place is a complete disaster and should be avoided at all costs. I've heard other horror stories about it too, but I will just review it based on my experience with the oil change situation. If you want a quality job on something simple like an oil change.....GO TO Express Oil Change off of scenic hwy next to the jewelry stores. They are 100% professional, do a damn good job, and are HONEST with the customer. Plus during braves season they have some decent discounts. If you like ghetto/rude a$$ employees that could care less about the customer then maybe Pep Boys is the spot for you.
Ouch! Talk about poor planning among thieves and gouging! – Get this: I have my front brakes replace at the Snellville Pep Boys on 78, and a week later have a heart attack. I'm out of the loop for 8 weeks after open heart surgery, so when I can I take the car with a friend to have the rear brakes replaced.
I get a call from the "Floor Manager" there, and he says " I can't 'ethically' replace the rear brakes with your front brakes so worn down, you're in danger of losing your life!, We also found transmission problems"
I ask him if he's near the car, and he says 'yeah" - so I ask him to open the glove box and read the invoice that's there. He starts to read and says "Sorry,"
I go back and before I take the car I complain to the store manager... He says "So"?
What a gouging stinking low-down piece of place.
If you want torn up by thieves... go here, otherwise go to Kauffman, I took the car there and they say "Fronts look GREAT, need Rears are needing redone - Nothing else wrong with the car".
