I just read the reviews above. All I have to say is that I have been going to Cigar Villa for over 10 years. The patrons are friendly, the atmosphere is as it should be in a cigar store, relaxed and inviting. It's almost like being at home. The staff is very laid back. They will help you if you ask, if you only ask a guestion they will direct you in the right direction. If you ask them to help you find something they will. They are not like some shops that are pushy. I like that about this place. I am there at least once a week and have seen some real jerks come and go. If your looking for a place to enjoy a good cigar give it a try.
BTW, for those that don't know, it is not mold on the cigars, it's called "bloom". If there is a stick that I am looking for because I like it and I happen to see one with "BLOOM" on it, it's gone. I will grab it and smoke it in a heartbeat. Before you complain about something you might want to learn about it first.
This place is terrible – Staff is not friendly. I also had a problem with using groupon. I wish there was somewhere else close. I will drive further for something better.
No customer Service – First and foremost, their humidor is overstocked and they have a lot of moldy cigars. Also, the presentation is pathetic, with old dust covered cigars laying all over the floor.
Now for what really pissed me off: This store offered two different groupons. During the first deal, i purchased a groupon and used it and was satisfied. I was very excited to see a second groupon listed and quickly bought it and went in to redeem. Too much dismay, i was turned away because i had previously used another groupon at the store.
I tried to explain to the clerk that the first groupon was a completely separate deal, and that the fine print listed 1 per person, however it did not say first time groupon users only. The clerk still would not accept it and told me to call groupon for a refund.
I called groupon and explained the situation. They checked the deal's fine print and stated that since it did not say "first time users only" that the store should have honored it because, like i told the clerk, they were two SEPARATE deals. It is the stores fault for not listing that in the fine print, and they should be responsible for their mistake. This means accepting my groupon. However, since the store will not accept responsibility, groupon said that they would refund my money.
Cool place, nice people – Good pricing with a quiet couch to enjoy a cigar while watching the big screen TV. A friendly group that responds when spoken to or leaves you alone to enjoy a good smoke... this is what I want in a cigar store.
Great, friendly atmosphere – Cigar Villa is a terrific establishment with helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The business was slandered by the previous reviewer. Don't believe a word of that false review. I've been there many times and it's always been a pleasant, worthwhile experience. I give Cigar Villa the highest recommendation.
Wierd vibe – This place made me feel kinda strange as soon as I walked in. The lounge is right up front and the people sitting there looked at me like I was intruding. When I asked for some help, I was directed into the humidor but the lady never left her seat and wasn't really helpful at all. And they have this big gambling room in the back with old ladies sitting there playing video gaming machines. Kind of pathetic. Just not a very good experience at all.
