I had dealt with GPH for years on each Honda I owned and really like their service. We needed to upgrade our family car so I went to GPH. I had a great sales guy (Thank you Tommy Suh) and didn't feel pushed at all. I took my time with everything, gave them my criteria and they did the legwork to find me a great deal on a certified pre-owned Odyssey. Tametrice was great in the personalization department too. After, I took the older Honda we had to the service department to have some much needed maintenance done and the service department was great, just as I remember (Thank you Jeffrey Hawes). I have never been disappointed in this dealership, and would recommend them to anyone (which is more than I can say for other Honda dealerships I've been to around town). Thanks for a job well done guys!
I always bring my Accord to the Service Center for any serivce and all services on my car. They always greet me with a smile and I get taken care of in no time. My serivce advisor today was Dennis, he was very polite and not pushy. He didn't try to sell me things that I did not need
I bought my Civic at the Carey Paul Honda in Snellville and got an extended maintenance warranty. I called up and asked to make an appointment for an oil change (explaining that I bought my Civic in Snellville and had a warranty to get a free oil change). They took my information and set an appointment time for me.
I brought the car in and they then started saying that I couldn't get the car serviced there and I didn't have a warranty. The serviceperson (Jean) was very rude. I had to bring my car back to Carey Paul to get an explanation that my extended maintenance warranty works at every Honda location... except Gwinnett Place Honda AND Gwinnett Place Honda's extended maintenance warranty is not accepted anywhere but Gwinnett Place Honda.
I think it is safe to say that buying a car at this dealership (especially buying it with an extended maintenance warranty) would be a VERY bad idea...
We were kept informed of the progress on the vehicle and it was repaired when the service department said it would be repaired.
Waste Of Time – A WASTE OF TIME!!! My wife and I went to GPH looking for a very specific used car. Challenging I know, but we were completely upfront with our salesperson as soon as a arrived. They did not have the car we were looking for but had one very close so we agreed to look at it which was our second mistake, the first being walking into their dealership. The salesperson, Mansoor, was condescending to my wife whenever she asked questions about the car. Once we got back from our test drive we agreed to see what the deal would look like. After waiting for about 30 minutes they came back with a deal that was so far from what we were looking for that we tried to walk out. They would not let us leave as they still had our keys to our trade-in. After going back and forth with the salesperson and the manager we finally got the point across that the deal would not work for us, or so I thought. We got our keys and started to get back into our car to leave and the manager came out to stop me and asked if I would come back in so that his boss could look at the numbers. I got out of there as fast as I could. Don’t waste your time here, their prices are too high and they are way too pushy. Exactly what you don’t want in a dealership!
Best Price, Selection, and honest service – I have to say that if you are in the market for a Honda, not only should you take a serious look at Gwinnett Place Honda, but that you should DEMAND to work with Tim Kettler! He was hands down the best person I have ever dealt with in all my years of car buying.
I called and talked to Tim Kettler. He explained that most dealer's definition of a "drive out" price was whatever they wanted to say to get me to "drive out" to see them. I would have argued this with him had I not already experienced this firsthand twice already where I was supposedly told all costs just to have things pop up when I got there or that something was "just sold".
So I set an appointment to meet with Tim Kettler the next day since he was very pleasant plus he said he had the Accord I was looking for. When I arrived there the place was HUGE and Tim had just brought the car up front and parked it as I was pulling in. Now hows that for service!
Tim is not like your traditional car salesman. Tim Kettler was not pushy at all and he was very nice and pleasant to deal with. I was just plain shocked when we got to the pricing and it was exactly as he said it would be including all the fine print. Tim's price was actually the best out of all the dealer's when you got to the bottom line, plus he never had to lie to me or play games like all the other dealers did to me.
So not only did Gwinnett Place Honda have what I wanted, Tim Kettler got it for me at the best price AND gave me the best car buying experience EVER! I was in and out with my new Accord in just over an HOUR! He did exactly what he said he would do from the beginning and KEPT HIS WORD!
It's not always where you go, it's who you work with. Gwinnett place not only had the biggest selection I've ever seen, they also had the best person to work with.
If you want the best of both, go to gwinnett place honda and ask for Tim Kettler to help you out.
And Tim, if you're ever tired of selling cars I'll hire you in a heartbeat.
