All I have to say is HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! The service department was so rude. When you work in customer service, coming from someone who works in customer service, really disappointed.
I bought a brand new car, a nice 2011 Honda Fit Sport, so my wife and baby could drive places and I would never have to worry about them. I pay the dealership, Hennessy Honda of Woodstock, to service my brand new car so I never has to worry about the warranty.
This dealer recommended a transmission fluid flush at 28,000 miles, on a manual transmission. I, being the type to make sure my wife and child are taken care of, pay for this service. It turns out this service was not only not recommended by Honda North America, but was a complete shill by the dealership, Hennessy Honda of Woodstock, to defraud me.
Some short mileage later, my brand new car is covered in transmission fluid. A tow truck is dispatched to retrieve the poor Fit where the dealership admits they didn't tighten the drain plug, and it fell out. My new car's transmission is now dead.
So what does Hennessy Honda of Woodstock do? They force me to accept a used transmission, voiding my 60K mile new car warranty, and Honda North America agrees with it! So now if the transmission were to break at say, 45K miles, I would have to pay for it instead of Honda because this dealership ruined my transmission with an unneeded service, and then screwed me over by not making me whole.
This made my me so angry I immediately went and bought a new 2013 Mazda5 from a competing dealership, and traded in my now warranty-less on the transmission Fit. I should mention that the Fit was my 15th Honda, and now my last.
I cannot say enough how badly Hennessy Honda of Woodstock messed up. They recommended a service that was not needed, messed up that service which resulted in a broken transmission, then forced me to accept a used transmission that VOIDED his factory Honda warranty.
The General Manager, Jerry Goddard, dealt with this matter and felt no obligation whatsoever to make things right by me. Scott Bailey, the Service Manager, was even worse. He flat out lied to me about needing the service in the first place, and then lied about what transmissions were available to replace it (FYI Scott, the transmission is available new! 20011-RP4-G72, there are currently 2 in the Chino, CA warehouse. You can have it in about 4 business days. Retail price is $2375.29), and then lied about how the used transmission would affect my factory warranty.
Worst Car Buying Experience Ever!!! – I honestly don't understand how this place stays in business. The only positive post here is obviously an employee of the dealership. I initially went here because I saw good reviews online, but these must be plants from employees.
I initially agreed on a price using the USAA Car Buying service. When I arrived at the dealership, the sales person told me that I should come back tomorrow because a "more aggressive" sales manager was working then. I told him that I already had an agreed on price.
To make a long story short, they would not honor that price because "it was the last Honda Odyssey EX on the lot". The sales person stated that they would not accept anything less than MSRP. I showed him quotes from other dealers, but he said that the sales manager would not match those either. The sales person said that he had a good month and it was okay with him if I didn't buy the car.
Overall, this was the biggest waste of my time. I had a check in hand and was ready to buy a car. Now I'll have to drive to the other side of town to get a decent price.
WORST Car Dealership EVER – This place is a NIGHTMARE! I'm talking LAWSUIT material.
We sent our credit ap and were approved for a 0.9% apr before we drove out there. This "man" named Mike rushed us around the lot like we were cattle not listening to what we were telling him and unwilling to answer our questions pretending not to hear us. It would have been funny if it wasn't SOOOO BAD!!
Mike had our trade-in evaluated and came back offering $15,800 before we had even picked out a car to buy. It was $200 less than the lowest offer we had received from several other dealorships (carmax, honda carland, etc) and Mike said that he didn't want our business that he could jack up the numbers on the car we buy if he wanted to and that it was all a numbers game. We told Mike that it wasn't what the car was worth on KBB and Mike told us to "GET OUT OF HERE" and tried to back us into our car. Mike started screaming "DONT TOUCH ME" and yelling his head off at us. We were SHOCKED!!!! My husband walked a few steps back to the sales center and opened the door. He asked for a different salesman and Mike made threatening remarks similar to You'll be sorry and you are making a mistake and you don't know what you are getting yourself into before he stormed off back to the other sales center.
We were JUST about to compelte the deal on a car "Moon" had showed us that we liked when all of a sudden the finance guy (who was chatting it up with Mike) told is that they would only offer us $13k+ for our 2007 loaded Audi in great condition and <55k miles!!! THOUSANDS below KBB value. So we can only assume that Mike pulled some strings to prevent us from buying a car.
JOKE IS ON MIKE - We drove straight to HONDA CARLAND NORTH with GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and bought a 2011 Honda Accord with 0.9% apr, >$16k on our trade in and thousands off MSRP!!
So its like MIKE THE HENNESSY HONDA OF WOODSTOCK said - THEY DON'T WANT YOUR BUSINESS! DO NOT GO THERE!!!

UNWILLINGNESS TO HELP - Service Department Didn't Want To Deal With It – I am really shocked when I see two other reviews saying "Hennessy helped me when my vehicle was out of warranty". I did not get that treatment. I went to take my vehicle to get tires. I called ahead to see what my wait time would be. I was told one hour. When I arrived to the dealership I was informed that it would be four hours. I live about forty-five minutes from the dealership and had small children with me. This was unexceptable. They would not provide me with a loaner because my service was not mechanical and would not be kept overnight - NOT HAPPY.
Two months later I find that I have a dead battery. My vehicle just turned three years. Hennessy service informed me that it was not covered and "tough lucked" me off the phone.
I bought this vehicle "Certified". I question whether or not they did properly check everything out. I have a hard time believing that this battery passed an amp test two months ago, but now is dead (couldn't even be jumped).
LESSON LEARNED: Research what you will get from future visits to the dearlership's service center before you buy - it's kind of a package deal.
Rental Car for free – My 2006 Honda Pilot had a rattle they couldnt find right away....they put me in a rental car, paid for it and fixed the rattle......they are the best...
SAVED ME A TON OF $$$$4 – Took my 2004 Odyssey to Hennessy Honda for brake noise. I was way out of warranty but they replaced for absolutely nothing......didnt even buy it there....I would recommend them highly....a 10 in my book.
Service Department – Took my '02 civic to them under warranty about vibration (struts) told me it was tires. 14,000 miles out of warranty and the struts are completly gone. Unwillingness to help.
