Good food and fun – I love this place! Great for a date night or just hanging out with friends. The food and music are always good. Some of the wait staff could use better training but all in all a great place to go!
Not so Wonderful anymore!! – A few years back i went to Sambuca with a friend and the ambiance, service and food was fabulous!!
A few weeks ago, was a total disappointment and a let down for what I so highly esteem for this Jazz restaurant. The tables were so dimly lit that the waiter who first approached, later to find to was a trainer, unprofessionally pointed his flash light to our faces and asked "Ready to order yet, looked at the menu?" What!! How about.. Welcome to Sambuca my name is blah blah blah, i'm a trainer and the traineee....
So what is the trainee being groomed for???
We should have walked out but decided to stay based on previous experience, but BIG MISTAKE. The wine menu must have diminished over the course of the years because there was only one page for wine by the glass the rest was by the bottle. And they were to charge us for every sample we asked for. Now which upscale restaurant does that!! The crab stuffed salmon i ordered was not crab stuffed but had a crab tasting sauce, only to get a fish taste in my mouth after we left.. Not to mention that our orders were more that $25 and the damn restaurant cannot afford fresh fish.. POOR PERFORMANCE!!!!! Crappy food and service!! The only thing i could enjoy was the live band, which next time I can do that elsewhere!!!!!!!!!!!
I came to celebrate my belated birthday and got very disappointed. You ruined what was supposed to be a memorable night. So No Thanks I will not be coming back
The place is gorgeous!! – I just love the elegance and everything that is offered by Sambucca !! It is one of the best place to chill out with friends...the seat were really good and the music was cool.. the attendants were very courteous too.. Thank!
Not that great. – My party of #9 were seated near the band and we loved the music. It was a little loud but, a great seat. The venu is just the right size. Our waiter was nice and explained to us the "fine print" on the menu.
The "hidden charges" are not told to you and are not called for! We even looked on our parking tickets to find a "tip charge" after we paid on the way in. It seems like they take for granted that you are a "cheap" person when you pull up to the door. The food was bland and not worth the asking price. I have had better food for half the price. I would pay the $5.00 for the music again and skip the food. The food has got to get better for me to go back. It is just not worth it at the end of the day.
Great Ambiance! – The drinks were strong and the music was so great. The minute I walked in I felt at home. The bartender made me laugh and the crowd was eclectic. A perfect date place, I highly recommend it! The women were everywhere, so it might be tough to meet the 'one' there...:)
Don't Walk Run to Sambuca – Sambuca is my spot!! You just never know what celebrity you are going to see on any given night.... I won't name drop but, I did see one of the ladies form The Atlanta Housewives up in there. This will be my ahng out form now until. It is a little pricey but, well worth it....
Now they tell me...... – Just came from that God forsaken place. Do not go, stay away. They charge for everything, it's ridiculous. I have never been hit for a charge for a band. They had a service charge for a party of 15 of us with the gratuity on top of that. This reminded me of one of the restaurants in Atlantis in the Bahamas, you get nickeled and dimed for everything.
The waiter was very condescending and the food was so bland. I ordered a shrimp plate and it was very disappointing. My wife and I paid $115 total and I think McDonald's would have been better. Trust me, do not eat here.
Loved It! – I came to Atlanta for a week-end getaway with my hubby to escape from "Motherhood" Don't get me wrong... I love being a mom however, I need to get away and remember that I am in love with a sweet and lovely man of my dreams!
Sambuca was just the place we needed for a date night! Not only was is beautiful inside, The staff made me fell like a rock star! I loved the fact that the live music was so cool but not to loud that I could talk to my husband and not have to scream. The food and drinks had a fun twist to the norm and I enjoyed all of it down to the dessert that was perfect to share. I live in Nashville and have gone to the one in the Gulch and loved that one to! So I was not surprised to have such a good time at this one in Atlanta ! But like all good restaurants in any city it is always a good idea to call ahead and make reservations at least 48 in advance.I did for our Saturday night dinner and that might be why we had a killer table with a beautiful view of the stage and we were seated as soon as we came in. Keep up the good work Sambuca.
Big Mistake – I took my daughter for getting her great report card. I wish I knew what I know now. When I made reservations 6 hours in advance they only had one time slot available. We were informed that we needed to purchase at least 1 entree per person and there was a $2.50 charge per person for the music. When we arrived we had to pay for the valet upfront (!), had to wait in the hall way for 5 minutes while no one was in the restaurant... The reception was not very friendly and welcoming. Service was ok, but hard selling. No water or bread, unless you want to pay extra. The food was very average. Olive Graden would have been better, except for the good music and the wonderful crowd. When paying the bill, they recommended 18% on the receipt.. (like they do in South Beach and actually add in on!). Like I can't figure it our myself.....All and all not a good experience they won't see me there anymore for a while. Hope my daughter will forgive me......
Best Date NIght! – Where else can you take a date that has great food, live music and kicken' scene? I had no idea they had concerts every Thursday night! I knew there was live music every night but these mini concerts feature some headliners. I took my date to Sambuca and let me tell you this couldn't have been a better date night. We weren't prepared to dance but the music was just too inviting. The food was perfect. We started with the Bucca Beignts and moved on to the Blackened Tilapia Étouffée and Chicken Fried Ribeye. Half way through the meal we switched entrees, yummie! I will for sure take my next date here. For the price the evening was complete.
