BEST SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!!!! – I called Buckhead TV on a Saturday, not knowing they were not open for business on the weekends, so I left my name and number. First thing Monday morning I received a call from Nimia, awesome lady in charge of customer service. She was very friendly and helpful, advised me of my upfront cost for the home visit to diagnose my 55" Mitsubishi TV Set. Tuesday morning, Alex was at my home by 8:30am, earlier than the time Nimia said he would be stopping by. He checked the TV, quoted me a range for the cost of the repair 0f 275.00 to 300.00. We discused the logic of replaicing the set with an updated plasma of some sort and he told me the equipment was in excellent condition and I would probably no be able to replace it for a same size set or similar ,for the money to get it working back like new. I was very appreciative fro his honest opinion. He said he would be back in 3 to 4 days with the parts to finish the job, he came back in 3 days. The final repair cost was less than the estimate first given. I am extremely happy with their service, honesty, upfront information and the willingness to make me a happy client at all times. I highly recommend them!
!!!!RIP OFF!!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS – I called Buckhead TV and they said over the phone that it would be a $60 DEPOSIT to check out the LG 36", I get to the store to drop it off and she said that she meant that it was a $100 DEPOSIT to look at the set. To say the least they looked at it and said the main board was bad so the IR sensor would not work, exactly what I told them to begin with. They quoted me over $600 for a $200 board and when I asked how much do I owe for looking at it they said my $100 DEPOSIT was not a DEPOSIT it was a check out fee, and she was very rude about it. I will get up to turn the sound up and down before I will ever let them touch my TV. I should have checked the reviews first because I would have never went there to begin with. I guess that I just learned a $100 lesson !!!STAY CLEAR OF THEM!!!
Very Good Service – I saw the negative reviews on this site and decided to give some feedback on the service that I received from them today.
I own a Mitsubishi DLP television that recently started showing an error message and automatically shutting down. Buckhead TV Repair was one of the authorized repair companies provided by Mitsubishi. I called them yesterday morning and explained the situation. The woman on the phone was very nice. She was aware of the issue with my television, and was up to date on the fact that Mitsubishi had extended the warranty for this issue. She informed me that the necessary part was in stock, and advised that the TV could be repaired today.
The repairperson was supposed to arrive between 11am and 1pm, but he arrived an hour and a half early. He went downstairs, diagnosed the issue, and had the TV repaired in 45 minutes. Now the TV works great.
Hope this helps someone looking for a TV repair service. I was very pleased with the service that I was provided.
do they steal TVs?? – I first called them in early December, they finally picked up my 53" TV just after Christmas and I haven't seen it since. They never call when they say they will, I have to call repeatedly to get information! I think they are terribly disorganized and would never recommend them. They are listed as an authorized Mitsubishi repair place on the mitsubishi web site - I think I need to tell Mitsubishi to de-list them!
Where is my TV? with Update 4-7-08 – I have to admit everyone I have spoke with is extremely nice and seem to want to help me. They picked up my 63" TV for repair around Thanksgiving and I still do not have it back. They never call to give me updates and each time I try to get information they tell me they are waiting on the part from Mitsubishi. I am SOOOOOO frustrated. I am getting no where with Mitsubishi either. I don't know what to do or who to believe, but it has been about two months and I am still without a TV.
Update as of April 7, 2008:
I finally got my TV back in February. It took way too long and I still don't know if Mitsubishi or Buckhead TV was to blame. Now I have new problems: the left half of the TV now randomly turns black or sometimes the whole screen turns green. After speaking with Mitsubishi, they once again informed me that I had to contact Buckhead TV. Buckhead TV came out within a few days and determined one of the parts that was replaced was faulty. VERY FRUSTRATING. The upside is they were able to get the replacement part within one week and were going to install it the following day (I was not available) - at my home, so I don't have to give up the TV again. They should be here Friday. I have raised my rating to 3 stars...with some hesitation. Buckhead TV does seem to be redeeming themselves. Still skeptical and frustrated.
wow this is no good – plz do not use buckhead tv service they will not help you. Samsung had them try to help me and so far they have not given me a status on my tv and they have had it for over 2 weeks... they were only going to have it for 10days
Terrible customer service,no follow-up calls – I seriously do not recommend using Buckhead T.V. Repair...we still have not received our television back...nor have we gotten a phone call stating what's going on with our t.v. I was referred to them by our local Walmart here in Atlanta on Old National Hwy.
