Best Part is the People – I am in the gym 4-5 days per week seeking a tough workout. I do not want to dress up to go to the gym or feel judged while there, and JBT fits my personality with a clean, no frills gym, unpretentious people, great energy and the best and most intense classes that you will find.
Members work hard, love to sweat and are incredibly supportive of one another. Instructors and trainers are simply great and amazingly talented people, but the best part of JBT is their childcare. As a mom, not having to worry while I workout makes a huge difference, but knowing that my child is actually happy makes going to the gym a favorite destination for both of us.
Andrew's Classes – I am a fitness instructer in Anderson SC and drive two hours to take Andrew Hemmings advanced step classes, weight training and cardio dance - They are better than any certification classes I have ever done, anywhere - His classes are at the top of my list. Hardcore, high energy ad over the top exciting. Well worth the drive everytime!
I just noticed Mary Anne is still there she is right up there with Andrew - great classes - LOVE them. She is very talented.
JBT is one of a kind – Classes are hard core, and people are there to work out. If you want a "plush" gym, look elsewhere - but if you're looking for outstanding group fitness classes and trainers, it's an amazing place. Andrew's classes are easily among the toughest classes I've ever taken, and I'm a lifelong group fitness fanatic. All instructors and trainers there are great. To echo another reviewer's comment, there is nothing corporate about it (a huge plus in my book). I moved from ATL, but really, really miss JBT!
Classes are no joke – I've been doing the typical free weights/treadmill workout for over 12 years. After such a long time of the same routine, I found myself having a tough time staying motivated. The bar strength, straight up strength, and boot camp classes take all of the thought out of working out. You just do it because the instructor tells you to and 25 other people in the class are doing it. These classes are no walk in the park. No need for extra motivation here. I still keep my membership active at a chain gym because sometimes I enjoy the social atmosphere; however, I go to JBT if I want to get a killer workout. Whether you are a beginner, an expert or somewhere in between, JBT definitely has a class for you. Andrew seems innocent when he signs you up. Be careful when taking one of his classes, you will certainly get your money’s worth 10 fold. If you are serious about getting or staying in shape without having to think about, JBT is the gym to try out.
Great Classes, trainers, and motivating atmosphere – Known for its fantastic instructors and personal trainers, JBT, as die-hards refer to it, never fails to keep my weight under control in a fun and challenging way. After moving from NYC, I was scared nothing would compare to my classes at Sports Club LA uptown. Thank god, I found Jeanne's! The classes are great. If you want a real challenge, I suggest taking any one of Andrew, or Keith Veri's classes. Another favorite of mine are the spinning classes, which are offereed daily and voted the best in atlanta. I highly suggest coming here if you are serious about staying healthy and fit without growing bored of a mundane routine.
Best Gym in Atlanta – Definitely the best gym in town! The classes are AMAZING. I tried 3 other gyms and the instructors were only average as a whole. All of the instructors at Jeannes are great!
Best Gym in Atlanta – A true neighborhood gym and fitness center, in every sense. The owners and employees care about their jobs--there's nothing corporate about it (it's not a chain). It's not a meat market; it's a place to be motivated and invest in your health.
But the best thing, by far, has to be the classes, instructors, and personal trainers. Take advantage of these to really see results. The classes are diverse, fun, and really challenging. And the trainers are the best around. Overall, this gym is definitely worth the price, many times over. I moved away from the Atlanta area last year, but JBT is definitely one thing I miss!
Great club! – JBT is a great health club - the classes are innovative, fun, and challenging. It's just great!
