Great neighborhood spot! – We came here for dinner and had a great meal on the patio. The service was extremely friendly and we had the perfect length dinner - our server didn't try to rush us through but we never felt like we were waiting.

The wine recommendations were excellent and the food was very good. I ordered the skate wing and my date got the lobster lasagna, both of which we really liked.

Blah and expensive – Dish looks great from the road and enticed us in. We were seated promptly and then promptly ignored. As for the appetizers, we had the scallops. We were given 3 small scallops drowning in an overly gingery and coconuty sauce. The chicken rolls were dominated by some unknown and untasty spice and accompanied by an inedible cole slaw. The porkchop and macaroni were pretty good but the side greens were terrible. The seafood "lasagne" was covered in 2 boring, bland sauces and it's amazing how they ruined shrimp, scallops, and lobster! The chocolate 2005 dessert ended the meal well. All in all I would tell my friends that it is not worth the trip or money and to try one of the other very good restaurants near by.

Dish serves it up, Higlands style – Dish is a nice little spot in the Highlands with a perfect patio right off of N. Highland Ave. Dish has typical Highlands style with an eclectic decor in a converted house; the patio is its best physical feature, especially this time of year. The food was very good, if not exceptional. The menu is a bit on the short side but very descriptive and definitely distinctive. The Duck breast was, when accompanied with the rest of the dish, was quite good with an Asian flair. My wife ordered the chicken breast and reported it satisfying but not noteworthy. The wine list is sufficient with several half-bottles available. Our waiter was new, not in a hurry, but sufficient. Overall, a good choice for a nice meal.

Yummy – The calamari salad is the best intown, they use lemon and mint instead of that boring marinara sauce. Also I tried one of the best Chardonnay's I've ever had, Arcadian Chardonnay.

Good looks and New American flavors meet at this eye-catching cottage bistro. – The Scene
This beautifully converted gas station is just a shade removed from the boutiques of Virginia-Highland. Inside the intimate quarters, flattering lighting, draped fabric and tropical plants soften the whitewashed brick, black-and-white photographs and tiny, metal-clad bar. The patio--illuminated by the changing jewel-tone patterns of fiberglass flying buttresses--dresses up outdoor dining. Service is assured and witty.

The Food
Dish puts an emphasis on style without sacrificing quality. The combination of flavors in the rosemary pine nut popcorn is on the mark. Purple mashed potato and goat cheese salad is the best bet for a starter, thanks to a contrast of velvety textures and the zip of capers. "Freeform" lobster lasagna is decadent with scallops and shrimp in a rich sauce. Likewise, greaseless, tender duck with an orange sauce is a treat. The dessert you shouldn't miss: pineapple upside-down cake with passionfruit ice cream.

Food is Exceptional – The food blew me away. It's delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and the chef's skills were above and beyond what i expected for this quaint restaurant. I highly recommend the cheese sampler to start your meal.

Menu Descriptions not accurate – The food and the service were good. We were seated promptly and our waiter attended to us throughout our meal.

The one thing I was not satisfied with was the menu descriptions. The calamari salad was stated to be in vinaigrette dressing and it was in a mayonnaise based dressing; there was no mention of the diced tomatoes that were on top of the salad.

The pork chop was delicious, and the mashed potatoes were incredible, but again, the diced tomatoes that adorned the dish were not mentioned in the description.

This was my first time to the restaurant, if I go back I will be sure to ask questions about everything before I order.

Disappointing! – The food was not worth the price; my chicken in phyllo wrap was disappointingly tiny but my date's bowl of mussels was huge. Unfortunately the mussels were HUGE, fleshy and not very tasty (unless you go for that sort of thing). We both ordered seafood, and my red snapper tasted somewhat off..I think it was the lima beans.

The ambience was great however, we ate outside, and you couldn't tell you were near a street. It was very romantic. Good service too.

Dish More – Solid Atlanta dining experience, interesting entrees with slightly whimsical sides, friendly service, nice outdoor patio.

Not enough for the price – We had to wait at the bar for too long and the portions where too small for the high price. The food was good but nothing extrordinary. Good enough to try once but does not stand very high with the neighboring Highland restraunts.
