Favorite in Atlanta – Love the food here! Excellent staff and food makes every trip here enjoyable and memorable. Even enjoy coming to lunch to grab a sandwich and cupcake. I tell all my friends to come here for special events, even enjoy saving my menu and looking over it at a later date, so I can enjoy the meal again!
My favourite in Atlanta. – I have been going to Bacchanalia for years. The food and staff are consistently excellent. My only complaint is that I would like to see a little more variety on the menu. I recommend this restaurant to people all the time. Great food and service.
Best restaurant in Atlanta! – This restaurant is great. As soon as we arrived, we were taken to a table without waiting a single moment. Upon seating at the table, a menu is presented. The server asks if there are any questions and then lets you have a little time to decide what you want to order. This is a prix fixe menu, so your whole meal is ordered before you get a course, so that the chef can time your meal impeccably. Between courses, "gifts from the chef" were presented to me, and these could be anything from the most ethereal cheeseball to a bright asparagus soup that wakes one up. It should be pointed out that wile this restaurant has 5-star quality food, the atmosphere is not pretentious at all. I felt as if I could put my elbows on the table and savor the food without worrying about having to conform to a strict code of conduct. The waiters are attentive but not obtrusive, so one can focus on the food and not annoyances from waiters. Initially, I did not think that I would like the cheese course, but I loved the strawberries with stochionno cheese and truffled honey, so, yes, this place is that good! And, at the end of the night, the restaurant gives you a souvenir so that you can savor the tastes of bacchanalia for at least one more night: a freshly baked baguette from Star Provisions!

I did the 4 course pre-fixe. The crab fritter appetizer was the highlight of my dining experience. A pure delicacy. Main course was the lobster. While good, I wont yearn for it like I will for the crab fritter. I think the onions were a turn off for me. I went with the buffalo cheese and fresh tomato varietals as a 3rd course. Above average good but not the best I've had. For dinner I had the Ellijay Apple something which was very good as well but I could have used more ice cream. All in all the food was very good, but I think they earn their reputation by their service which is the best I've ever experienced. They had a team of people in rotation that was perfectly there and not there to meet our desires.
Also sampled was their oysters with caviar sprinkles. Very nice though for oysters, I recommend Aspens in Acworth. They have to have the best cheese selection in Atlanta. We did some cheese pairings from some selections of over 20 cheeses from a zoo's worth of animals. I've never been a liver fan...and that's no different for Bugs...though paired with whatever they put it with was good. Lastly, I wasn't impressed with the architecture. The experience and the food definitely warrant the price.
Wonderful Birthday Experience – Had not been there since it opened. I told my husband that I wanted to eat there for my birthday. The wait staff is excellent and the presentaton of the food with the pairing of the wines is exceptional. We had a mini-vacation. We will definiterly return again, again.

Superb service with great food – We went here for our 5th wedding anniversary a few years back. I am just now writing a review because I have always read reviews when I am choosing a new restaurant, and they have been very helpful to me. I was taking my husband out, so we didn't discuss price before hand (I already knew what to expect). The food was very good and well prepared. My favorite was the crab cake fritters we had as appetizers (drizzled with an Asian source). You were really able to taste the freshness in each course, and the wait staff was outstanding. This restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and is great for couples looking for privacy. When the check came at the end of the evening, my husband was a little shocked but never said it wasn't worth it.
bland food – I spent way too much money for average food. The best thing I had there was pea soup (a gift from the chef!)

BEST OUT OF BEST!!! – i will most definitely coming back to this restaurant. The service was awesome, superb, flawless and so was the food. The chefs was unbelieveable, they make the MOST unimagineabe heavenly food ever. Sooo friggin' delicious.. I might sound a little too much here.. but seeing is believing. if u're in town and crazy for french cuisine (even if u're not crazy of french cuisine) u've totally got to try this place. i promise u wont get dissapointed. The place has a really good ambience too. Good for a little romantic dinner or a little business meeting. and i think the price is very reasonable for what u gonna get here. i dont even think its pricey at all. Overall my experience with Bacchanalia was 1000% satisfied.
SUPERB IN EVERY WAY!!! – A memorable experience! I had the wine tasting menu and thought it was a bargain compared to the prices you see in NYC for similar style, and not necessarily as good, dining. The food was absolutely wonderful, fresh and presented beautifully; the staff was friendly and attentive; the wine choices were very enjoyable but "safe." The oysters topped with lemon sorbet and osetra were the absolute, over the top, best oyster preparation I've ever had. Fresh, icy cold, briny....the bomb!! The duck, the cheese course, the desert were almost equal. I adored all of the "gifts" that arrived at my table; a goat cheese gougere, a shooter of cold soup, light as a feather ricotta dumplings with shaved truffles (OMG!,) buttermilk pannacotta, cookies, chocolate. I dined alone and was made very comfortable; if you ever dine alone you know how weird and rushed the waitstaff can make you feel. For the naysayers who reviewed before me, clearly, you don't know fine dining so stick to Applebees. Bacchanalia is the ONLY reason I'll ever go back to Atlanta.
