I would have to agree with the service part. i usually go to autozone, but my company car, allow pep boys to be used. so i went there . been there 3 times. when i go in, there will be about 3 guys you normally see. they all act like there doing something, like work i guess. they dont even bother to look up. finally they will look at you, when u walk straight up to them and stand a foot away. now, they arent mean, theyre, just not friendly, its like they dont care if u come in or not. when i go into autozone, its like the person above said, there will be 2-3 employees, and they will all ask if i need help soon as i get even close to them. heck, some time they will chase me down to help me. haha
Extremely rude and predatory - they WILL try to upsell you on services you don't need. Probably one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had.
Extremely Slow Service – Dropped off my car on Tuesday afternoon at 6PM and did not receive a repair price until 4PM the next day. Pet Boys advertises low prices but they have so many add on charges for their shop that it is best to price shop competitors who have lower prices.
Pep Boys Piedmont Road - Service Dept. – I have been using this Pep Boys location for well over a year now. They are awesome!! They have diagnosed and completely solved problems with my car's air conditioner and a brake noise that noone else could. I have purchased tires and batteries from them, as well. They service all three of my vehicles and, in my opinion, have done an exemplary job!! I also price compare, and have found them to be competitive across the board. As far as I know, they will more than match any competitive price. The service manager's name is John. Ask for him by name! You won't be disappointed!
PEP-BOYS – Dear pep-boy customers below. We at the pep-boy store on Piedmont Road are striving to be The Automotive Providers of choice for our current ,new and lost customers. I ask that anyone who has ever had a bad vist at our store to come back in and vist our staff and goal stated above. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! – ZERO customer service! No one greets you or even acknowledges you are there the entire time you stand and wait. I went in for a check engine light and was told about the $89 diagnostic after waiting in line for 15 minutes. I just needed the free check done so I can get an idea of where the problem would be and that's I was told it would be 1.5 hrs before they could look at it. CRAZY... You can do an oil change in 29 minutes, but you want me to wait 1.5 hrs so you can take less than a minute to give me a code. I politely said thank you and drove to AutoZone on Buford Hwy. I went in and was greeted immediately by 2 employees before another person walked up and asked if she can help me. I took her less than a minute to come out and test my car. Pep Boys has lost my business.
THE WORST PLACE TO TAKE YOUR CAR – This place is just horrible. The employees there are incredibly unprofessional and inconsiderate. The only person I spoke with that was slightly helpful was a woman named Marlow. Even though she tried her hardest to help, she constantly gave me the wrong information.
It took way too order the parts I needed and they never knew when my car was going to be finished. Dont take your car here.
Its a waste of your time AND money. Wayyy overpriced.
FIND ANOTHER PLACE! – The waiting time is ludicrous; they tell you to fix things that don't need to be fixed.

DO NOT GO HERE! – If I could give 0 stars, I would. I called on a Sunday morning to ask if Pep Boys did the service I needed... my turn signals stopped working. They said to bring the car in for a diagnostic and that yes they fix those kinds of problems. So I take it in and sit around for the electrical diagnostic to be performed. After, they tell me that they can't fix it that day because they do not stock those kinds of parts and would need to order from a dealership (and none are open on Sundays). Why they didn't tell me this on the phone before I wasted time is beyond me. So I pay for the diagnostic and tell them that I will call back later in the week after looking around at other shops. I call back on Tuesday to have them order the part. They take my name and phone number and never called back. I call again on Wednesday, and they say that they can no longer order the part that day, that they would leave a note for the person working Thursday to order it first thing in the morning. So I call again on Thursday and they seemed to have no clue what I was talking about proving that no note was left. They take my name and number and call around for the part. I receive a call and am told that the part will not be in until Friday. Now, it's Saturday morning and I call to see if they have the part. They said yes, to bring in my car to finally get this ordeal taken care of. I sit for an hour before anyone even looks at my car. Then they proceed to tell me that "the dealership sent the wrong part." They then tell me that they can't order it till Monday!!! I sat for an hour and a half for them to yet again tell me they can't fix my car!
Also, no one makes it a point to greet you in a timely fashion when you first arrive. They have a sign saying drive up for service but you have to get out of your car and approach someone to get them to notice you! They have complete disrespect for their customers and do not value anyone's business at all!!!! I will never go to them for anything again, and I will be requesting a refund for the diagnostic because the lack of professional they have exhibited makes me doubt they even know what they are talking about! DO NOT GO HERE TO GET YOUR CAR SERVICED FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE USUAL OIL CHANGE!
