Weekday afterwork -- very easy to get in and out quick before a movie – Not our absolute favorite Thai restaurant in Atlanta, but definitely in the top 5. Food has always been good for us, service great, and easy to get dinner before a movie at the Tara (always in and out in less than an hour on a weekday after work).

great food, great service! – Waiters always smile and polite. If you don't something in your dish, the answer is never "this is the way it comes"--they will always try to satisfy your taste and requests.

The food is amazing, especially the coconut soup and Papaya salad.

Try it. You won't be sorry.

Mainstream Thai plays dress-up in a dingy corner of the Tara shopping plaza. – The Scene
Drenched in matte Chianti tones and easy-listening Eric Clapton instrumentals, it's a Thai restaurant among Thai restaurants. So expect towering silk flower arrangements, carved mahogany elephants by the truckload and square columns sheathed in slightly warped mirror plating. Portraits of Thai royalty, crisscrossed American flags and a regally costumed staff complete the picture.

The Food
Generally consistent, sometimes exceptional, it's a slightly more straightforward offering of dishes you'll see all over town. Highlights typically spring from more mainstream dishes, including crispy squid with a tangy-sweet dipping sauce, sirloin with lime, flash-seared onions and chilis (Nurr Nam Tok) or rich, spicy chicken coconut soup. Green curry pork and Pad Thai with tofu are solid versions of their species.

Try It! – I decided to try Jitlada after getting a little tired of Thai Chili. This place is delightful. The service is quick and helpful, there is a large comfortable patio, and THE FOOD...yumm.

Try the curry salmon, choose your own type of curry (that's the best part)!

One of ATL's better Thai places – A large restaurant with ornate decorations and the requisite Oriental muzak. Hit it before a movie at the Tara. Service can be great or just so-so depending on the size of the crowd. The dishes here are fresher and have more bite than at many Atlanta Thai restaurants. Try the spicy Nur Nam Tock.
