Best Pizza and Salads & Yummy Garlic Knots – We went there by chance and boy am I happy we did, everyone got exactly what they wanted from Pizza to salads to pasta and even kids meals. Great prices on Beer and food, and service was great. The owner is halarious.

Awful Service, Bad food, No Courtesy – A couple of years ago we had dinner here and had a pleasant experience. Tonight's travesty began when the order taker/cashier couldn't speak to us in English. The manager came back twice to help us understand what this kid was saying. It made me rather nervous that three of the eight soft drinks in the self serve machine were out of order, a sign of a decline in care about the place. The salad was actually not bad the entrees came one at a time. My daughter had a ravioli dish with pink sauce that was ok. I had chicken penne with garlic and capers. When the waiter placed the plate on the table it filled my nose with an aroma of burned rubber. I choked down a few bites as best as I could, the pasta had a texture you would equate with calamari, the chicken in tiny little cubes was burned and flavorless. I asked for some pink sauce to drown the odor and overall nasty flavor. The manager, a snippy little Latina offered me some Marinara. The Italian/Mexican? sauce wasn't powerful enough to cover up the fowl aroma nor the taste. The kicker was the teensie garlic bun that was burned black on the bottom. The manger did offer me another dish but refused to give a refund. In fact when I asked for one she stared at me like a deer in the headlights. I think I will give this place a permanent pass.

Entertainment + Food – Perfect example of the pizza-sports-beer spot. Their thick-crust pie has unique flavor and goes great with a pitcher, endless big-screen TVs, and whatever your game is. The best thing on their menu though, might just be their garlic knots served alongside a bowl of marinara, it could definitely be a meal in and of itself.

American Pie – Love the place. It was cozy and family oriented. We tried the 'All Dressed' slice with a cold glass of Coke and watched the customers coming in and out, the decor and the photos on the wall. It made us feel quite at home...

Excellent food... – I just moved here from NYC and had been looking for a good pizza joint when I stumbled upon Robbie Mac's. I went on a Wednesday night and, while busy, the service was decent and I got my food relatiively quickly. The pizza was excellent. Thin crust, just the right amount of everything, cooked just right. The garlic knots were definately addicting and there were plenty of beers on tap. Imports, too. Stella, Newcastle...not crappy Coors Light, although that was available by the bottle.

I have most certainly found my pizza joint in Sherman Oaks. And when I have friends in from NY, I can't wait to see what they think!

INSECT WARNING! This place just got a new yogurt machine and I thought I would try it out. After looking over the sugar-filled topping options I walked up to the counter to order and noticed several insects (citysearch won't let me type the real word - but the insects have 4 legs and fly) ON the counter scurrying away. I called L.A. Environmental Health office and complained. When I mentioned the insects to the manager, he didn't seem concerned. This is a bad sign - stay away!

Fraud alert!!!!!! – We were once loyal customers to Robbie Mac's until last week. We ordered our weekly delivery and the total was $28.48 and I signed my credit card slip for $32.00. A week later I was balancing my books when I noticed I was overcharged and the amount on my credit card heavily favored the driver and his "tip". When I called the next day I spoke to Carmen, the owner, and she told me "too bad" and laughed at me. I had to call my bank and file a fraud claim. Not that I wanted too, but she had treated me so horribly (after being a loyal customer for 4 years) that I had to remember the principle of the matter. SO consumers beware - check your credit card statements at once after ordering from Robbie Mac's. You may just be a victim of Carmen's fraud and never know it. Needless to say, we will not be ordering from our local pizza eatery ("Robbie Mac's") anymore. And check out Joe Peeps Pizza on Magnolia - they are fantastic and have the best customer service ever!

Just good pizza. – I don't know how you become a pizza expert, but it's plain easy to spot the bad ones - and Robbie Mac's belongs to the good guys. Yes, it was slightly burnt at the edge, but everything else tasted real darn good.

Not as cheap as your $5 Little Caesar's, though.
