Personalized Family Service! Unusual Estate Collection's! Signature Jewelry!. There are very few privately owned Jewelers in the Atlanta area. And Mednikow at Phipps, is one of the best. This family's main store is in Memphis, and Molly Mednikow, the owners daughter, is on staff here from time to time. Molly grew up in the business, and her personal assistance is very reassuring. You can buy loose stones, and have them set with confidence here. And from time to time, Estate Collections are brought in. Yes all the signature lines are here, but the One-Of-A-Kind items, are the real finds.

This high-end jewelry store, with its polished wooden cases and brass door handles, perfectly complements its chi-chi Phipps Plaza surroundings. The store carries everything from classic pearl necklaces to contemporary takes on diamond engagement rings to funky rubber and gold bracelets. It also features an impressive selection of Rolex and Patek Philippe watches for men. If the Cartier, David Yurman and Chopard pieces don't tempt, Mednikow designs its own jewelry and custom orders.
Surprisingly good value. I bought a big diamond purchase from a "wholesaler," then saw that Mednikow listed their diamonds on the web. What a shock to see a similar stone for less $$. I visited & met the owner (female in her thirties, but it is an old family firm). She said they price their diamonds to compete with internet wholesalers & people are always shocked. She buys from the diamond cutters who buy direct from DeBeers, & that is as many middle men as any retailer can cut out. She was reluctant to mount someone else's stone, but she finally agreed. Their designer created a mounting just for me. They had all the premium brands like Nova and Michael Beaudry but their handmade mountings were the same quality. Their approach is a little clinical (they all have jewelry diplomas), but after the hard sell at Solomon I was happy.
