where is marcos? we miss you. we hope you have found a new location and we are looking forward to eating your salad, garlic rolls, and chicken parmesan again soon.
Gone for Good? – I visited Marco?s late spring of ?06. Unfortunately, the entire shopping center is being revamped and this yummy restaurant had to close as well. Portions were large, with complimentary salad and garlic rolls. The food was reasonably priced especially given that you had enough for a takeout box. Great staff. Marco?s was a great place for families, no one turned up their noses when we came in with an infant.
I would love to know if Marco?s has plans to reopen.
Prelibato! – Tasty! Great "traditional" style Italian restaurant reminds me of something you would find in an authentic Little Italy neighborhood in Chicago, Cleveland or the northeast. Remember back in the day when a salad came with your meal? It still does here. Cozy ambiance makes this a great date place!
Cozy Neighborhood Italian – The food and service is wonderful. It's good to see an individually owned restaurant where you still see the owners around on a daily basis. I suggest the all-you-can-eat house salad
I suggest this place to everyone from romantic night out dates to families with kids.
Consistenly great – I have been eating there for many years and its me and my girlfriends favorite. Its not real fancy nor expensive, but the food is always great. Also there is hardly ever a wait for the table even on Friday and Sat nights.
A free meal for your birthday – Marco's is your best neighborhood italian restaurant in Atlanta. It is nice to see that they really care about you eating there--something not seen anywhere else in town these days. For example, the owner keeps tabs on customer satisfaction and if you are lucky, they might even send you a free meal coupon for your birthday. The food is very good, authentic italian; many recommend the chicken parmigiana and the baked spaghetti. The wine selection is good, including the house wine. The desserts (not surprisingly, the tiramisu) are tasty and not excessive. The service is excellent, waiters go out of their way to be pleasant and helpful. Overall, a good time at a friendly place.
If a restaurant could be a friend. . . – Marco's and I would hang out every weekend. Enjoy the deliciously fresh salad, garlic rolls, and entrees while being waited on by the friendly and seemingly very loyal wait staff.
The decor is done so well you even forget you're eating in a strip mall. This is a can't miss restaurant for those relaxing and comfortable Italian meals.
Great family spot – I was so happy to find this place in Atlanta - we went only because it has been there since 1960 or something which is a very good indicator, it means good predictable food and sure enough here in a dead shopping plaza you can tell the restaurant is filled with long time regulars. Lots of families. Couples. Comfortable. I always oprder the Shrimp Milano, delicious in a Parma Rosa sauce with Spinach - it was once a special and they make it for me even when it is not on the menu. Best delicate pasta / sauce. Always hits the spot!
