great food – went there during the weekend, was very skeptical about our choice as the restaurant looked very small from outside. after we got our food on the table it totally changed our perception. the taste was great, we all five ordered 5 different items, all five are fabulous. even the dessert was awesome. bottom line..had nice time in this restaurant, though the restaurant is small, but the interior left a feel good image with nice food.

should go there ..when i go to LA again.

Great menu selection – The thing I like most about this thai restaurant is the extensive and creative menu. While I haven't tried the korean bbq with homemade kimchi, I appreciate it's there if the day comes that I might be in the mood for it.

I've tried their delicious green curry salmon, chicken satai and veggie curry; I liked their green curry salmon the best. Spring rolls are pretty good as well. Decor is also nice - I'll definitely be back, maybe to try their homemade kimchi.

feels upscale, except in your pocket. – doesn't look like much from outside, but you walk in and the place feels a little glamourous and high end. the food is phenomenal [try the pineapple shrimp curry; the pad thai's great too!], and so very affordable - even the saketini's and other drinks.

the staff is reliably nice and the decor is ever-changing, but always simple and artistic.

don't walk in thinking you're at a fast food joint and you'll walk out satisfied and for half the price of most thai joints.

kinda romantic but i also like to take out of town guests since it feels a little luxurious and sort of secret since it's never very full.

Very Tasty, but small portions. – We just came back from eating here. I have to say that the entrees were absolutely delicious! I am a huge fan of Thai food and have been to Thailand, so a bit particular for authenticity. I had the Siam Steak salad. The meat was not the best cuts, but it was moist and not overcooked and dry. The lime juice, chili peppers and fresh herbs made it extremely tasty. I wondered what the "vegetables" would be because the menu did not specify that. Turns out it was halved cherry tomatoes, slivered onions and raw cucumber pieces. My dining partners had Tom Yum soup, Phad Thai, and Chicken Pad Prik King. The Phad Thai was sweet and saucy and the chicken and green beans were amazing. A very good balance of spicy and flavorful, with crunchy, fresh green beans and tender chicken breast slices. The Tom Yum soup (with chicken) was amazing! Plenty of lemongrass for that exotic flavor, and just the right amount of spicy. For dessert we had Tiramisu, Cheesecake, and Thai Custard with sticky rice. The Thai custard was actually made on site and was coconutty and delicious. The cheesecake and Tiramisu on the other hand were pre-packaged and still partly frozen. They were OK, not great. This place would do themselves a service by not offering them. The Thai Iced Tea was sweet, strong, and creamy. On the downside, I felt the portions were a little scant for the prices they were charging. The service was very friendly, but a bit slow and kind of inept, like everyone was still in training to work at a restaurant. We beat the dinner rush and got a parking spot curbside right out front. There is a small parking lot around the back, but it was full even though we were the only customers. I would have given Thai Cabin 5 stars, but I deducted one for the small portions and so-so frozen desserts.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!! – Stay Away From this place, the food is good but the service is horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not only did it take them days to bring the food out ,but they also made me wait half an hour for an entree that they completely forgot about!!!! And to top it all off they charged my credit card twice and increased the amount by like ten dollars!!!!!!!! When I asked them to correct this erroe the next day, they refused to help me or let me talk to their manager!!!!!

There're a lot of misunderstandings for this case. First, it's impossible that we would make the customer wait such a half and hour because as we recognized, we were not too busy to handle all the customer. Second, about overcharging her credit card, we did not charge her twice or even increased the amount like she claimed because the next day she came and we had already proved by showing her all the credit card record. It is possible that something wrong with her bank transaction, because she said that the transaction was still in pending status. Finally, we did not refuse to help her, but only the manager could help her because all the transaction had already settled to the bank at the end of that day, so we could not help her immediately because we had to check back our record first, then we could help, which might take time to process, but she couldn't wait!

P.S We tried to serve all the best to customer, Thank you

excellent service! great food! – Everything here is delicious. The staff is very nice and personable. It is a gem in the Valley. From the outside, you would have no idea how quaint and adorable the restaurant is. The prices are extremely reasonable. The take out is speedy and just as good!

Good for take out – We recently moved to Sherman Oaks from Hollywood, so fearing that anything would never be as good as ThaiTown on Hollywood Boulevard, we ordered take out and were very happy with the results. Guy on the phone had a bit of a language barrier, but nothing major, food was reasonably priced, delivered on time, and quite tasty. Will order from there again!

First Time Ordered From Them! Great Food! – I had never been to this restaurant before so I thought I'd try them out. I ordred out for delivery and found the gentleman who answered the phone to be very freindly and helpful. He explained certain dishes to me that I was not familiar with and I do have food allergies. I made a comment that I couldn't have a particular dish. With his help, I ordered a great vegetarian noodle dish with an order of chicken satay. The food came within the time specified and it was really delicious!

Excellent Panang Beef and Great Service – I love this little place. Great dine in, take out or delivery. I always get the panang beef. It's delicious! They also have great noodle dishes like Pad Kee Mow. The servers are very friendly and polite. They are able to keep your contact info and credit card on file when ordering for delivery, which is very convenient. Best Thai food in the valley.

Best thai outside of Thailand – I have been a big fan of thai food for many years. But after visiting Thailand and tasting the most amazing food, i never thought that i would find a place back home that compared....untill siam cabin. It is a quiet little restaurant with incredible food. My favourites are panang beef, padthai and the coconut curried shrimp to name a few. Try this place, you wont regret it!!!!!
