Delicious!! – I could eat at Hirano's pretty much every night and be quite happy! Its soooo good! Also, its very affordable! Their sushi is the best I've ever had and I've yet to find any that compares. The rest of their food is just wonderful!

Bad Sushi – Ate there yesterday and spent the whole night on the toilet and p u king. Never again! Eat there at your own risk.

The place stinks!

Hot, Dirty, and Food Soaked in Grease – A/C was either not working or nonexistent (this is a small restaurant with an open kitchen and grill). We were sat in the back part of the restaurant as that was the only area with the ceiling fan that was working. After choosing what we liked from the small (but acceptable) menu, I was able to use it as a fly swatter for about 10 minutes. That's when the server finally came over to get our drink and food orders.

I ordered a noodle special that had been hung on the wall above our table (written on a paper plate and spelled incorrectly) and my husband ordered the chicken teriyaki. Both arrived on styrofoam plates and were glistening in grease. My noodles were just that, noodles. No sauce or vegetables. Just wok seared noodles (they had been advertised as having a 'vegetable medaly'[sic]). My husband's first comment about his own food was "I could get better food at the mall". And sadly, he was right.

I wish my visit had been enjoyable. We live so close and we had high hopes. I hope the quality vastly improves and soon.

Plain and simple an OK dining event – very OK. Not great just OK. The chicken was good, the steak was..ok, the vegies were ok, the fried rice could be improved and the sushi was good. I would suggest trying this if you live really close within the block but I would not drive over a half mile. They cook the chicken and steak tepan but it is not an hibachi, they do not cook at your table. The sushi was probably the best part.
