I am perplexed by some of the bad reviews on here. Jack and Saeed are simply good, honest businessmen who believe in high quality and excellent service. I have been going to them for around 6-7 years. I the beginning I did "double-check" costs by comparing with other mechanics, and their was always the most reasonable, and eventually I trusted them completely. They helped our family nurse along two different aging cars, and gave advice when we were ready to buy a new (used) car. I have gotten both good and bad news from them, but always felt like I had options and never felt like anything was more expensive than seemed reasonable based on my experiences with previous cars and mechanics. They explained the repairs to me in a way that was clear without being condescending, so I knew what I was paying for. For those of us on a tight budget, they give good advice on which repairs are urgent and which can wait. If you are looking for a good honest mechanic, go to them!

they dont know nothing about cars, i know cars but dont have tools to fix or lift, so i went there and they only trying to over charge ppl that look like they dont understand cars, please dont go there and u save your car and $, and i sow him try to steal my iphone , but he sow me at the last moment,

North Hollywood Auto Repair – One day we went to ralph and they had special on steak , good looking , nice and juicy, $7.95 per pound so we bought about 2 pound . Friday me and the girlfriend took the steak and went to Tony Romas we order some wine and when the waitress comeby to take our order I put the steak on the table and ask her to cook it well done , next thing you know we were escorted out by manager and the waitress. What a dumb people they are , so I told the girlfriend we would take our steak elsewhere. The moral of my story is not everybody willing to the job like the guy with the brake job wants to do, I am sure there are places do that kind of work , but who will stand behind the job when something goes wrong , Is he willing to pay labor again to get the job done right ?
Not worth it – I called to get a pricing on break pad installation. I told the guy on the phone that I bought break pads for my car and I would like them to be installed. The guy frankly and rudely told me, "I will pass on this one. I supply the parts and the service. I don't use other people's labor." Oh well, the guy is stupid. I will take my money elsewhere.
Best service in LA – I've been going to North Hollywood Auto Repair for over 20 years. I've never found a better place to get my car serviced. I've tried a lot of other repair shops, but none of them compare with the service I receive at North Hollwood Auto Repair. I've recomended them to many friends and will continue to go there.
Great Service – I've read a few of the negative revewis on here and I have to say that, as a customer for a long while, and one who has reccommended friends, I have never been dissappointed with the service I've received.
We all know that when it comes to car repair, its not typically good news or something that you've budgeted for and easy to get frusterated. The staff here wont waste your time or money on unneeded repairs, they take the time to listen to how and what you use the vehicle for. They keep you informed on whats going on. You may find cheaper service elsewhere, however the labor, customer service and parts used here are relaible. I couldn't ask for anything better than that. I've recommended many people to come here who are also satisfied with the service they've received.
Best auto repair I've ever been to – This place is outstanding. The customer service is great and they take the time to evaluate your car to your personal use. I have never had a problem with them trying to get money out of me or push me to repair something not needed. They will be up front and help you as well as they can. Everything is done in a timely manner and is done to perfection. As long as I take my car there periodically for oil changes and check-ups I am very confident that my car will last me as long as I need it to.
You can do better then this place!! – I really wanted this place to be the place for me to service my car but I feel taken advantage of by these guys! Bottom line, you can do better in the neighborhood and they know nothing about Volkswagons, BMW's or German engineering period! Take your car to someone who specializes in these areas if you want service. This guy will call out to other experts to be coached on servicing your car! Save time, energy and resources and go elsewhere regardless of the AAA recommendation.
DO NOT GO HERE – Called and talked to someone with a simple question: a price quote on a common part. Guy was condescending and rude. Who knows, maybe they do quality work, but respect is a major factor in my book when doing business.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME – I was given a recommendation by a friend to Karen Valenti’s North Hollywood Discount Mufflers and Brakes mechanic shop. I had taken my car to Karen Valenti twice before and received reasonable service. On my third visit I was astonished by the decline in customer service and client value. I had phoned Karen 1 week in advance to book my car in for an engine light issue that needed attention in order to pass a smog test. I agreed to pay for one of her rental cars while she worked on my car. Four days later I found myself having to make phone calls to her shop in order to find out what was going on. I discovered that my car was still sitting outside in a car park without being looked at. When I confronted her about why it had taken her 4 days to get to my car, she became defensive and snapped that she had told me that they would service my car “when they could get to it.” I told her “as a student in a recession, there is no way that I would agree to pay for a rental car for 4 days while my car sat in a car park.” She angrily retorted that it was my error and then went on to rudely accuse me of having her rental car for more than 4 days. I double checked my information to verify this and discovered that I had actually rented her car for LESS than 4 days. Despite Karen being ‘in the wrong’ regarding all of the above mentioned issues, she still had the audacity to be rude and obnoxious to me as I left her office. All I can say is: take your business to a reputable mechanic who values your business. Sadly, this woman gives female business owners a very bad name.
