If you are afraid of the breed DON'T BE A GROOMER!!! – I have been looking for another groomer in the area and ran across Frannie's while going to the Food Lion in the same shopping center the other day. I stopped and picked up a business card that was on the door and noticed the card says that she does all breeds of dogs, which is great for me, or so I thought, because I have two different breeds, one a Chihuahua and the other a Pittbull. Well when I called to get the pricing for the dogs I was told that she does not do Pittbulls. That is a BIG problem for me, seeing that the Chihuahua is the mean dog and the Pitt is a sweetheart. My main thing is this, DON'T PUT YOU DO ALL BREEDS WHEN YOU DO NOT!!!!! Any groomer who decides not to do a dog because of its breed is NOT a groomer I would take any animal to!!!!
mean people – please do not send your pets here to be groomed. As I observed the other day while walking by the store window, i noticed that 2 ladies were working on this small helpless dog. First of it was in this sling thing hanging from the ceiling, did not look comfortable for the dog, and it was muzzled. Well as I watched this helpless creature looking terrified while 2 big bullies were trying to cut it's nails the dog made a movement it looked like in defense maybe a biting move but as I mentioned it was MUZZLED! The one lady HIT the dog several times! I was shocked and almost ran in the store to try and free every pet in there! My dog went here once, came home with horrible razor rash on his belly and was so freaked out. When i called the ladies back just to ask if they had any suggestion as to what to put on the rash to try and help the do feel more comfortable they were SO RUDE! Now i know why! wish I would have been able to capture it in video.
Fantastic service at a great price! – After a TERRIBLE experience at PetSmart (I didn't even get past going in to make an appt.) someone recommended Frannie's. I have a toy poodle and we are very particular about her "puppy cut". The ladies at Frannie's make appointments quickly, have a reasonable drop off period in the morning (7:30am-9am) and even when I get here there at 8:30 she's always done and back home by 12:30 at the latest. They'll show you the back on your first visit so you know where your pup will be and how he/she will be handled. For my dog, they clip her nails, clean her ears (including pulling out the long hairs), bath her (she always smells AMAZING!) and cut her exactly the way I ask. I've recommended them time and time again - you should make an appointment today! :)
Had Enough... – I've been a good sport about things. Been going to Frannie's Groomers for a few years. I would say my dogs had a decent enough time, but there have been a few things that have really upset me with their care and their grooming. I feel like they rushed them out and that's why there were so many mistakes. Regardless, I finally found another groomer and won't be returning.
