Lazy service ruined a $70 family meal..
Tonight we had a very disappointing experience at the Lone Star Steakhouse in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The restaurant was not busy at all and it took forever to get soda refills. In fact, my wife requested a refill for her soda before we received our meal and didn't receive it until she had finished. Furthermore, I had ordered a shrimp add on and didn't get the shrimp until after I had finished my meal and was ready to go. It was obvious that the server never punched the shrimp order in with the rest of our meal. However, she never admitted her mistake, nor did she ever apologize for the inconvenience. To make matters worse, when I went to the restroom, I found our server in a side station texting. Really? Not what I would call a worthy $70 dollar meal.
I am not one to usually complain. However, tonight's experience was offensive and entirely preventable.

Great service & Average Food.
My family and I visited last week. The server was very friendly and attentive. We were all surprised at how good she was. Sadly, the food wasn't nearly as good as she was. It was average at best. The steaks were overcooked. They DID offer to take them back and bring us new ones though. We will try this place again simply because the server was awesome. She should give others in town lessons.

Here's the beef.
There is nothing intrinsically wrong with the dining experience at Lone Star (Pavilions). I received a coupon for a steak/shrimp combo meal in the mail. The 6oz. tenderloin wrapped in bacon probably is responsible for numerous deaths a year. But I digress, it was sinful and I enjoyed it.
Caveat emptor! The three shrimp that were included with the special were probably called that by their family. They were overcooked. However the meal was served with approximately 8 oz. of cocktail sauce, which made me wonder "Wheres the shrimp?"
