From The Owners – As the owner of the company, we pride ourselves in giving the best possible service at our store, using the best possible installers, and giving the best possible prices. Most of all employees and installers have been with us for over 8 years. They have grown with us when we built our new store on Hwy 64 in Apex, they have stuck with us during through the slow economic downturn. They have helped start our new Benjamin Moore Signature Paint Store. We are constantly trying to improve our service and products while still competing with the Big Box Stores. Throughout any given year we have completed and satisfied 500 + customers and work in their houses. Jobs that most often include ripping out existing flooring, moving furniture, and the TRUE retail job. We built a family operated business so that our customers can come to us and shop and talk about their flooring and paint projects. Unfortunately with owning a business, you are not going to make everyone happy. But 98% of our customers leave us happy and glad that they shopped at Bradley's Flooring and Paint. When those 2 % of the customers problems occur, I spend countless hours with our sales reps, and multiple trips to the customers house to try to figure out the possible outcomes. We work with our customers to overcome problems and find solutions. This is how we do business. We thrive off the referral part of our business. I just wish sometimes the other 98% would write some internet reviews. Always the ones that we give back money, replace their flooring for free, and bend over backwards to help explain their situation that go out of their way to write a bad review.
I would suggest visiting our store and talk with our staff and get your free measurement and consultation and then make your decision if want us to do your floors.
AVOID USING THEM FOR CARPET OR VINYL – I wish there was an option for zero stars. They deserve it.
We were putting our house on the market and wanted to freshen up the downstairs vinyl and carpet. They were helpful enough in store and on the phone when we made the appointment, and their prices were good, but it all went downhill from there ...fast.
Let's start with the vinyl. The FIRST attempt at installing it went horribly wrong. There were waves and bubbles all over the place. My husband was home and saw them install it, but they told us these bubbles and waves were normal and would go away. Well they didn't go away. Someone came back out and trimmed some areas to help it flatten, but it still didn't help.
After expressing our concern, the owner told us this was normal and to ask any other vinyl installer out there. So? We called the manufacturer of the vinyl Bradley's used and got the install instructions and talked with someone from the vinyl manufacturer's corporate headquarters. We found out they did not follow install instructions AT ALL, as a matter of fact, their incorrect installation caused the bubbling and waving of our vinyl! Also, this voided our warranty with the manufacturer, since they were now aware of the incorrect install.
We called Bradley's back out and asked them to glue down the vinyl and give us an extended warranty from them directly since they voided our other one and since we'd lost confidence in their ability to do a good job. So they came back out and glued it down and it looked a lot better, except for the track marks they left from rolling our fridge back into place before the glue had time to set/dry. They said this would disappear in a month or so. Well it has been several months and it has not disappeared yet.
The owner fought us the entire time on coming back out and fixing their work. He was so defensive, making excuse after excuse, at one point he even told us gluing it down would look terrible because of trash underneath the vinyl (hello, use a broom before you lay it!) then when worse came to worse and he had no other choice but to glue it, he was singing the joys of gluing it down. It was a nightmare. And it's still not over.
Now for the carpet. The carpet seemed to be great. However, over the past 3 months we've come across things that make us very unhappy. First, on each of our stairs there are nails sticking out at the crease of each stair. It was not like this with our first carpet. Our 5yo son actually sliced his toe on one of these nails and started bleeding.
There also seems to be trash or perhaps gaps/tears in the foam under the carpet, because there are actually dips you can feel as you walk in certain areas where something is wrong underneath the carpet.
The carpet is the last straw, so now here I am writing this review. I have called them to come back out, who knows what will happen. I shouldn't have to deal with this. For people who do this every day, they should know better on some of this stuff.
Great service, on time, cost effective – Bradley's Carpet and Flooring were easy to work with. They matched our existing pre-finish wood in our kitchen with a Bruce product. Installers were hard workers and worked late to get the job done in a timely matter. We shopped around on prices and they worked with us to meet our budget. Would recommend them to friends and family.
don't use this place – WE had hardwood installed and new carpet all throughout our house. Since we had just closed on the house and weren't living there and it was finished at night, we didn't realize that they used our shrub beds as a trash can and left a ton of junk there. The hardwood was fine and 2 years later still looks great, but the carpet started rippling just over a year. This shouldn't happen. They installed it wrong in the first place and didn't stretch it properly.
Extremely Helpful! – We had Bradley's Carpet & Flooring install new hardwoods in our living room and refinish the rest of the hardwoods on our first floor. They did an excellent job helping us select a new stain and worked with us on arranging the time frame for us to be out of the house ( we have small children and dogs). They did everything that they promised and more importantly our floors turned out beautiful! I would highly recommend Bradley's Carpet and Flooring.
Great Overall Exerience – We recently replaced carpet with hardwoods in 2 rooms and had the entire downstairs re-sanded and re-stained.
The entire process from our initial conversations to the final inspection was smooth and as expected. The installers did a great job of blending in the orginal hardwoods with the new flooring and when they were finished, everything was returned and cleaned to previous condition.
Would definitely recommend Bradley's to anyone in the flooring market.
Deceptive sales staff and horrendous customer service – We bought hardwood flooring from Bradleys in Apex. We asked the salesman for and were quoted the price of a Shaw hardwood floor. Salesman wrote "Shaw" and name of the individual Shaw line we had purchased on our sales invoice. After having the floor down for about 6 months, we noticed that several boards had cracked. We called Bradleys and were told the owner and his installer would inspect. Only the installer showed up and he said we had put too much water onto the floor while cleaning and that Bradley's wasn't responsible. I then called Shaw's customer service line ask about this and discovered that Shaw wasn't really even the manufacturer of our floor! We then spoke w/the office mgr at Bradley's who again confirmed that they had installed a Shaw floor in our home. When we told her that a Shaw rep confirmed that Shaw DID NOT produce our floor, she put us on hold...she came back and said that we needed to look under Somersetfloors for info about our flooring. I discoved our floor was made by a private company in TN which is in no way affiliated with Shaw. I the asked to meet w/Bradley's owner. He came to our house and confirmed that the boards were defective and offered to replace the individual boards only. I told him we had been deceived by his sales staff and had been quoted and indeed had on our sales invoice that we would have a Shaw floor. But, only through my research had I discovered that the floor was a cheaper floor--NOT Shaw!. He became very upset and began yelling that he wasn't sure why his rep had quoted a Shaw floor nor why he had written it on the invoice because his store didn't even sell Shaw hardwood floors (yet his website says they do, but it NEVER mentions selling Somerset floors!)
I wouldn't recommend Bradley's to anyone for any type of flooring purchase!!! Do yourself a favor and go to an honest flooring company where you can trust that what you purchase will be what is actually installed--that's NOT Bradley's!
