Aovid CHINESE COMBO take-out. INCOMPLETE order- no offer to refund for missing food! FRAUD!. Ordered 4 entrees. Order was suceswsfully repeated back and we were given a price and asked to pick up in 15 minutes. When we arrived home my husbands order of house fried rice was not in the bag. When I called to let them know- a young man answered and was totally uninterested and said 'we will make you one if you want to come back.' We told him were in for the night and had no interest in coming back. Although he agreed that we were charged for food we never received, there was NO offer to deliver the missing entree, or to offer a refund for the missing item. I feel completely scammed by this place.
Okay food, awful service.
Our usual Thai place was closed for repairs so we thought this place might be a suitable alternative. We were dead wrong. Upon entering Chinese Thai Combo, it was very clean and pleasant, other than the hip-hop blaring from the T.V. screen.
Our waitress ignored us for a good ten minutes, then asked if we wanted something to drink. The waitress came to us three or four times within twenty minutes to see if we were ready to order, well, not our waitress... THREE waitresses. They were all fairly impatient, and when "our" waitress finally turned up, she was very confused, and didn't know the prices of the items on the menu, nor how to pronounce the items. (Pad See Ew is spelled phonetically enough, I don't need the waitress telling them that I ordered something different!)
At one point, we ordered an appetizer (with another waitress that had come up to the table), and they got confused, and didn't know which one of them had taken the order. The only thing the waitstaff did properly was keep our water glasses full. The food, when it FINALLY came, was lukewarm, though not bad, but not as good as we've had at other Thai places in town, for less.
In short, DON'T go to the Chinese Combo on Silverbell and Cortaro, unless you're interested in bad service and poor quality food.
