Nice, easy-going but professional dental visit to have some existing fillings replaced. Very happy with the new fillings.
Everything is great about this office! The staff are extremely helpful. The procedures are quick and easy.
Seven years ago I had a miserable experience with a dental office in Mission Valley, so I never went back to that office, and avoided any dental office for two years. Finally, I decided to get my courage up and look for another one. I wanted one close to work so I just started calling around in the area at random. I called Affinity Dental, (then called Hillcrest Family Dental), and the receptionist was so nice and knowledgeable in giving me information about their office, I immediately felt comfortable but I continued calling other dental offices in my quest for a better dentist that the last one. I called about ten different offices and none impressed me as much as Affinity Dental. I called again a week later and that same voice was just as friendly and helpful, so I decided to give them a try. Well, five years later, after many cleanings two replacement fillings and three crowns, I am completely happy and satisfied, with everyone at Affinity Dental. From Angie and Brittany at the front desk to Dr Kory and everyone else in between. The entire staff is professional, competent and friendly, so much so that now I genuinely look forward to my dental appointments and would recommend them to anyone
BEWARE: Affinity Dental of Hillcrest. I developed an infection in which they would not respond to in a timely manner. I had a cap fall off, a relatively simple procedure that ended up taking a couple of months. First I was told that the lab made a mistake on the mold for my crown. I came back in and the mold was recast. The surrounding area was painful like something was sticking in my gums that night and after the second day the pain was increasing so I looked in my mouth and could see that something was sticking out of the gum line. I pulled out two pieces of what looked like clear tape on one end and on the other it was what looked like a dark thread attached. Each piece was about a quarter inch long. I could see something else beneath the gum line much deeper, it was dark in color and appeared round and on the top of the gum above it was ulcerated. One the third evening I could see tiny pus pockets on the gum where they put my temporary cap on and spreading to adjacent gums. I called the emergency number and spoke with Angie the receptionist who informed me she had the o/c this week end 3/14/14 I explained to her what was happening and informed her I had an infection on the gums and that my ear was now being effected and I asked that she reach the Dentist to call me in some antibiotics. To my dismay she down played my symptoms and insisted that I did not have an infection, she constantly interrupted me and said I could come in any time on Monday. I finally got out that I was afraid my gum was dying and she said absolutely not. Saturday morning I awoke early from pain, the left side of my face was visibly swollen and the pus pockets were very pronounced and my mouth and ear were extremely painful. I placed 3 phone calls and my friend called as well. No one called me back. I am going to have to go to urgent care. This is medically irresponsible, shame on them. I do not recommend them.
"My experience at Affinity Dental was great - the atmosphere for
treatment was caring, professional and I have no complaints.
I am looking forward to my next visit for further treatment.
Almost everyone I dealt with was stellar: the gentleman who handled my tooth polishing, the dental hygienist (so sweet and friendly), and the dentist, who never pushes a service I don't need.
Excellent as always love coming here for our Friday dinner with the family right after work. To get the weekend started. I really enjoyed my new dentist, x ray technician and the teeth cleaning person. Everyone was pleasant and professional.
I was completely satisfied with work that was done from the doctor and the assistant thank you. I will recommend Affinity dental to all my family and friends.
The entire experience of getting my root canal and crowns was better than I anticipated. Dr. Saldona is excellent and all the assistants were great! Pleasant experience all around. I have used Affinity Dental for many years and have had multiple things done and I've been well-treated by the wonderful staff and received excellent work. This office is much like a family to me.
Everyone is very professional and friendly. Would recommend to everyone. Thanks--see you in December.
