really good cheese sticks – I went there for the first time yesterday for lunch. Our server was really nice and the food was very tasty. The chicken salad I ordered was larger than I expected but was able to get a leftover box to take the rest home. The best part was the cheese sticks! I have never been to a restaraunt where the cheese sticks were actually meted properly! I'm used to the sticks being a minute away from being cold, but not the ones here!

There's definitely a family restaurant charm to this place, and I recommend it for a good Italian meal.

Parents with kids: Beware! – I was very disappointed. This was one of our favorite places. We decided to go to Filippi's today after Sunday mass with our family for my husband's early birthday celebration and our anniversary. During lunch my son, 19 month old, was cranky and crying. And a lady that worked there came over and told my husband to "plug a bottle in his mouth". I was stunned and offended. Therefore, we will not be going there anymore.

Classic pizza parlor anchors Little Italy's sidewalk scene. – In Short
From the red checkered table cloths to the hundreds of chianti bottles strung from the ceiling, this pizza grotto is a classic experince in Italian-American dining. After more than 50 years in business, people still come in droves to wait in line for a table and slice of what is routinely voted the best pie in the city. Also popular are the macaroni and spumoni.
