Good seafood.. Good seafood. Expensive and not as good as the Newport Beach location. Visit the Newport Beach location instead.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Waterfront fish house chain with patio and oyster bar prints daily menu and specializes in mesquite-charbroiled seafood, chowders. Brunch, happy hour.
Tranplanted Bostonian loves this place!!. The only place around for authentic Ipswitch clams. An amazing restaurant- don't be fooled by old reviews posted here- service is outstanding and the food is delicious- try sitting at the bar for drinks and dinner- the full menu is available there too- the staff is friendly and helpful- even got a cooking lesson on one of their outstanding recipes from the sous chef. Amazing restaurant and a well-poured martini. Sign up on their website for special offers.
Great on a Sunday night/small wait great food.. Enjoyed the deck on the marina and the Catalina Harpooned Swordfish blackend was excellent. the steak of all things was excellent as well.(who would have thought.) The gin and tonics and long islands were stiff, but very tasty for our party. over all it was well enjoyed and the staff very friendly and social. Thanks for the good eveing.
Great comfortable place to eat some fresh fish. My wife and I really enjoy the Bluewater Grill in Newport Beach. The Santa Ana location is closer to work so we decieded to give it a try. Similar menu but really poor service. The table we were at was rocking and unfixable. The server was not experienced. I asked for a dirty martini and recieved the cleanest martini i've ever had! My wife had the sand dabs and was disappointed. THey were full of bones. My seafood stew lacked the flavor that the seafood stew at the newport beach location has. overall, i'd rather drive to newport than eat at the santa ana location.
Over Rated. I used to dine at this restaurant often. Not anymore. Lousy Happy Hour value. The service sucked. I asked for some lemon wedges and a fork, so that I could eat my food, twice and waited for more than 15 minutes, still no lemon or fork. The last few times I went there I had to ask for service more than once, and had to wait a long. The food no longer tasted good like it used to.
