Fishy sushi and bad service – So, I've been to Buddha's Favorite before, and remember it being alright. I went for a friend's birthday, and was really disappointed with the sushi. The cooked rolls were good, but anything with raw fish tasted fishy. We actually sent one roll back after we all agreed it was not edible. We had to flag the waitress down to take our drink order, and on a separate occasion, our food order. Getting the bill and having her ring it up also took a very long time. After paying the bill, we sat at the table for 5 -10 minutes, and then went to the parking lot to say our goodbyes. The waitress had the nerve to come out to the parking lot to ask if the service was bad because she said we didn't leave her enough tip! Granted we had accidentally left less than I thought, so I gave her more money. But after I paid her more, the group confessed that the food and service was actually really bad (everyone was holding it in previously since it was a birthday, to be polite). So, when the waitress came out with change, one of our party let her know that our food did taste fishy, and the service was slow. She had the nerve to talk back to us and say that we should have said something sooner about the food. We pointed out that we did send one of the rolls back. The nerve, first to ask for more tip, then to argue back when we answer her question about the service! What happened to the customer is always right? I'm sorry, but I have worked as a server and I would never dream of walking to the parking lot to ask for more tip OR arguing with the customer if they were unsatisfied with the service. I don't think I will go there again after that experience.

Good food, Fun spot – This restaurant is a fun little spot on the pier. The atmosphere is great. Because of the way it is arranged the restaurant feels really intimate and it is nice to sit out on the balcony surrounded by boats on a summer night. Seating is somewhat limited so I'd suggest making a reservation if you can. Its worth it. I had the cold noodles and tempura. It was a lot of food but it was simple and delicious. Next time I go I'm getting the sashimi bowl, a variety of raw fish on top of rice. Someone else got it and it looked delicious.

Look, or you just might miss it – This beautiful little restaurant is located on Lido Island, and is a little tough to find. It's right on the docks behind another seafood place and across from the Cannery, with no big advertisements that it even exists. We got there by word of mouth and still almost missed it, and we would have missed out. Because it is right on the docks near the end of the bay, it has a mellow, candle lit atmosphere. The service is always attentive and a new recommendation is always at hand. But the food is phenominal, fresh sushi and delicious japanese food. A+

Fun Place! – This place is really small but it has a charming atmosphere. For those who love sushi, you will be able to taste a variety of rolls, also for those who don't like sushi, they provide regular japanese food too. You have a choice of seating outside with heaters and blankets! Or if you prefer inside, you can choose between the tables or sushi bar. The staff is very knowledgable and provide good service. But don't get caught off guard, make sure to make reservations especially on weekends or you'll miss out on this cute little restaurant and their delicious food. A very fun place to eat!
