Dr. Glenn is the Best!!!! – I had the most wonderful experience at Odyssey Medical Spa. Dr. Marcia Glenn is amazing! She spent time asking me questions so that she could understand my main concerns. After intently and patiently listening to me, she made a diagnosis and suggested a treatment plan.

Previous to visiting Dr. Glenn, I’d gone to several Dermatologists regarding my problem and they all rushed me out with some expensive treatment that did not work. I really appreciated the time that Dr. Glenn took explaining the problem in easy to understand terms, her opinion of the best approach to handle my situation and the most of all… The treatment worked!!!!

Finally, I have found a physician that listens long enough to CORRECTLY identify the situation and takes pride in a great patient outcome. I was thoroughly satisfied. I LOVE her and really like her staff. They make you feel comfortable, important and like they appreciate your presence. Thanks Dr. Glenn and Odyssey Medical Spa… YOU ROCK!!!!! I will be telling ALL my friends about you!!!! 

Very Happy – My experience with Dr. Marcia Glenn's office has been a very pleasant one. Not only was she personally very skilled and enthusiastic about helping me, her staff was very pleasant and receptive and she had a beautiful facility. I would definitely recommend this doctor!

An Excelent Dermatologist – I had an uncomfortable and unsightly mole on my lower back. Dr. Glenn removed it without causing me any pain. The mole never grew back. I was most satisfied with her treatment, and I would gladly recommend her to others.

De2010 – My family has been patients of Dr. Glenn for several years and our experience has been nothing short of terrific! I also have several friends who are patients and would attest to the professionalism of Dr. Glenn and her staff.

Over the years we've gotten to know the staff very well and in-turn we have always been warmly received. It's gratifying to know that your doctor knows your daughter is about to start college and what university she'll be attending.

This is precisely the kind of attention to detail Dr. Glenn shows in her patient care. My family has a history of melanoma, so I am very cognizant of getting checked and having my children checked. To that point, I have always had the fullest confidence in Dr. Glenn's skills as a physician.

There are times during the day when the office is busy and the wait can be a hassle, which is why I prefer early morning appointments. Yet, the Marina is conveniently located and parking is never an issue.

I've been a loyal customer for over 15 years and will continue to be a patient of Dr. Glenn’s for the foreseeable future.

Pleased to Perfect – First of all I would hope all of you who read this, understand that disgruntle patients are often driven to get even, not to get it right. To Dr. Glenn’s defense some complaints are plied on, unjustified issues, that I find are common in private practice. (ie. waiting times, mispronounced or wrong names, billing codes etc.) In a perfect world one may not have to wait, but I’m sure we can agree that we are far from perfect. During my wait times at Dr. Glenn’s office, I paid attention to the professionalism, and courtesy given by the staff, in a very clean, calming atmosphere. This is to be expected, and I was impressed.

As I read some of the comments after my 1st visit, it did raise some small concern for my next visit. I read through some of the comments and there seem to be a lack of shared responsibility on the patient’s behalf. If a patient doesn’t understand, they should ask until they do. I didn’t find a lack of communicating with Dr. Glenn at all, a problem. When I explain, what appeared to be conflicting diagnosis, and treatment to my problem, Dr. Glenn would go out of her way in explaining the diagnosis and treatment of the other doctor without putting that doctors findings down or wrong. This in fact added to Dr. Glenn’s integrity, credibility and professionalism. During a visit she would always explain what she was doing, before and during treatment and or procedure. Dr. Glenn would often follow-up with, do you understand, and always made me feel free to ask question along the way. She would always explain the use or the non use of a medicine, along with the side effects, which (in my case) were few and I’m glad that I followed Dr. Glenn’s recommendations. When I had a question she would answer my question without pause, which adds to the level of experience and competence. I believe Dr. Glenn is very considerate in displaying her knowledge in a way that is not condescending and she was very careful to talk to me in a lingo most non-medical people could understand, never talking above my head.

If a patient doesn’t specify who they want see when they make their appointment, they may get another doctor of that group, particularly if there is someone else that can get them in and out. (that is not unusual) As far as timely results, skin treatment takes some time to start showing a benefit, before moving on to something else. I’ve seen and experience every one of the concerns that I noted earlier with other doctors in other fields of medicine. I dare take the time to complain about the least little thing. Dr. Glenn loves her work, and she does it in the best interest of her patients.

So if you’re not sure of Dr. Glenn, based on these people who want to hide behind these blogs, you should ask Dr. Glenn and give her, her day in court as I did with my concerns. She will explain with what she can under the law and it will all make more sense. Her credentials speak loud, not to mention she came highly recommended by two patients who are dear friends of mine, and a primary care physician. I’m a very satisfied patient, and since my second appointment I’ve referred several patients, all whom are very satisfied of the experience, treatment and the results. By the way I will be going back.

Could there be two in the same area?

Spread the Word About This Awful Doctor – I will be sending a version of this note to the American Academy of Dermatology in order to have Dr. Glenn sanctioned or disbarred.

¶ Here are all the sins I have beheld from Marcia Glenn in the short time I have known her. Be sure to read all the way to the ending. It's a doozy.

¶ - Though I was on time for my appointment, I was in the waiting room 45 minutes before I was seen. I was in the examining room another 15 before I saw her.

¶ - Here's the exchange we had when she came in (I have changed the name to protect the innocent.)

¶ DMG: Well hello Pat.

¶ ME: My name isn't Pat.

¶ DMG: (not looking up from file) Uh-huh. So... we're seeing you for a blemish on your genitals today?

¶ ME: No. You have the wrong file.

¶ She then hurried out the door, leaving me with the unwanted information I had gleaned about the individual with whom I had shared the waiting room for so long.

¶ - I had a rash on my finger. I've had it off and on for years. She looked at it for five minutes then left. An assistant took a culture. Though I have no insurance, I was charged $200 the pleasure.

¶ - I went to one of the big pharmacies with my three prescriptions. I was told by the pharmacist that one of them was not in fact a pharmaceutical prescription, but was for a trip to the phlebotomist. Dr. Glenn and her staff had failed to mention this to me, nor to tell me where to go to acquire said test.

¶ - She prescribed two brand-name steroidal ointments for which there is no generic substitute. When I went back to the pharmacy for pick-up I was shocked to see that the bill came to just short of $300.

As my jaw dropped, the pharmacist shrugged and said "That's Dr. Glenn. She has a reputation for expensive prescriptions."

¶ - I went to the hospital to get drawn. The admissions lady was also annoyed with Dr. Glenn- there was no diagnosis on the prescription, which is apparently a pre-requisite. Also, Dr. Glenn was prescribing HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS of tests for, again, an uninsured patient.

¶ - That test was eleven days ago. I have called Dr. Glenn's office twice since then to schedule my follow-up appointment. I have not received the courtesy of a reply.

¶ - About an hour ago, Dr. Glenn's office left a message on my voice mail. The message was that I had been prescribed a medicine and that it would be at the pharmacy.

REALLY SOAK THAT IN FOLKS. After not hearing from the doctor for almost two weeks about any diagnosis, I was told by VOICE MAIL that I had a prescription BUT WAS NOT TOLD WHAT THE PRESCRIPTION WAS, HOW TO TAKE IT, OR WHAT IT WAS FOR.

AND... it was sent to a pharmacy that was not my pharmacy.

¶ - I missed this message by about 90 seconds. As soon as I heard the voice mail I called back. They had already gone to the message service.

¶ - I was left to call an unfamiliar pharmacy and ask what had been prescribed. I didn't recognize the name. I asked what it was for. They said it was some kind of inflammatory. They also told me how to get the prescription to my correct pharmacy.

¶ - I then checked online to see what that product was for. It's for genital herpes.

Hm. Interesting, First of all, my partner of several monogamous years was just tested quite recently and does NOT have genital herpes.

Secondly, I went in for a rash on my finger.

Thirdly, they already mixed me up with "Pat" once. Were they doing it again? Does "Pat" have the same last name as me?

Fourth, if somehow I do have genital herpes- I FIND OUT FROM A PHARMACY!?!

¶ I'll let you know how this ends folks. But between this and the other stories I am now reading on this page, I am horrified. I have never encountered treatment like this.

¶ This cannot go on any longer. Please spread the word- Marcia Glenn is an awful, ignorant doctor and must be avoided at all costs.

Negative Experiences – I concur with the negative reviews and wish I hadn’t wasted time or money on this office. I ended up going twice and each time I received poor customer service and had to fight to pay only what I actually owed. I never saw anyone within 30 minutes of my appointment time and then went through assistant after assistant who all asked me the exact same questions over again. On my first visit I never even saw the doctor but got prescriptions from her assistant. On my second visit, I did see Dr. Glenn after waiting one hour and then she contradicted everything her assistant told me last time and prescribed totally new medication. So I had wasted one month and lots of money. Each time the woman at the front desk and wanted to charge me close to $200 even though with insurance my payment is supposed to be closer to $50 and I had to go through the billing office and make several phone calls before the right amount was charged. Overall, this was a VERY negative experience for me and I will not visit Dr. Glenn’s office again.

Find another doctor – After being a patient for about 2 years, I have a number of complaints about Marcia Glenn's practice. first is the staff. at least three times my appointment has been messed up. once i was charged for canceling without notice when i actually had called to reschedule the week before. another time, i was charged $250 for a visit and procedure with the explanation that my deductible had not been met for the year. i accidentally discovered when talking to my insurance company about another issue that i had been charged incorrectly. the proper charge should have been $30. it took me a month to have the money returned and that was only because i finally physically went to the office, asked for a check and waited for about 30 minutes. the front and back office staff is inefficient, to say the least. dr. glenn is nice enough when you finally see her, but not very informative or personal. it feels like she charges for every little thing. my advice is to find a better place.

She is Great Great Great – I have been a pt of her's for over4 year's and it has been nothing but wonderful. She trys her best to fit you in when something pop's up. She listens when i have a concern and tells me the best out come for me not for her profit. Her staff is very helpful when it coms to booking appointments, and getting messages to the doctor if she's not around answer questions. I would recommend her to any one that needed a doctor that wants the best for there skin and peace of mind.

Don't bother going here. They just try to sell the most expensive dr|_|gs available which are fed down their throats by their buddies in the dr|_|g making business.

Even when you know a cheaper alternative and you ask for it because you've done research, you're told that their stupid remedies are better because $394 for topical creams is better than $20 pillls.

They moved me from room to room. Then after waiting 45 minutes past my appointment time I was told to wait another 45 minutes because she was busy doing a "procedure". What kind of service is this? You give me 1 minute of your time and charge me lots of money and when I want to see you again to talk about my prescription you throw me out the door?

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. I'm very upset at this poor service.
