HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - AVOID – I called to make an appointment on September 2nd, and was given a date in late October. The day in question arrives, and I call to verify the time in which the service is slated to arrive, only to be told that my appointment DOESN'T exist. After a back and forth about how I had called, had given my name, address, phone number, livingsocial voucher number, and had arranged to work from home that day, the woman on the phone told me she would look into the matter and call me back. She never did. I attempted to call them back, but no one answered. After finally getting through days later, I spoke with the same woman who had "helped me" but she suddenly had a case of selective memory when it came to her calling me back. After asking to speak with a supervisor she tersely said I could either book a new date or have my voucher refunded by livingsocial. She was defensive, rude, and unprofessional. In fact she threw her customers under the bus by claiming that people who had booked appointments through the livingsocial voucher kept canceling on them, and that they were in the process of ending that promotion.
Just a terrible and infuriating experience. For your own peace of mind, avoid at all costs.
Worth the wait! – I was a bit worried after reading the negative reviews, but they did a great job!
It took a couple of calls to book the cleaning and it was about 1 1/2 months wait, but it was worth it. I figure they must have had a million people calling them after the living social deal, so I've learned to be patient with anything I buy from those deal-sites.
3 people came to clean. One guys just cleaned the kitchen and scrubbed it clean in all the areas I've tried to ignore because it was so disgusting. The other two cleaned the rest of my 1 bed, 1 bath house and it was great! I have a toddler and the place was horrific before. I will definitely be using them again.
With the assigned team I had, I did have it Maid!!! – My place looked like a nuclear bomb hit it. A team of three showed up, I don't know how long they took because I was too embarassed to hang around. I thought they would take one look at that daunting task and my living social coupon and RUN!!! I would have. They were lovely, hard working and my god they are magicians!!! I forgot how cool my place was until they cleaned it up. YOU ARE CLEANING GODS AND GODDESSES!!! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH XO
You've got no customer service skills... – I feel bad writing a negative review, because the actual cleaners did a decent job. They cleaned the place in an hour and a half! With two people cleaning, a lot can be done.
The person who ruins the whole business is whoever picks up their phone. She was completely dismissive to my needs.
They really need to get a better receptionist! I had called two months ago to reserve a spot and tshe left a voicemail on my phone three days ago and never mentioned what time the cleaners would get here or to confirm anything. When I called back a minute later to confirm the appointment, no one picked up. I called the day of the appointment, after not knowing what was going on and she finally picked up then argued that she had a conversation with me and that I clearly wasn't paying attention. Well, she imagined it because it is not true. I asked her what time the people would get there, so I could send someone to open the door (since I was at work), and she couldn't give me a time.
Originally I asked for them to come at 8:15 A.M. They showed up at 3:30!!!
Do yourself a favor, go to other people, they can clean your place and do an even better job and with a smile on! If it weren't for Captain Negatron picking up the phones, and the fact that they showed up 8 hours after they were supposed to come, I would go back to these people. What a shame.
great cleaning – I have never had a maid service...always cleaned my own house and thought i did a good job...apparently not. Just came home to an immaculate house. Everything is soooo clean. I know there have been so bad reviews, but I personally think they did a great job. Dont think ill ever clean my own house again :) Didnt give 5 stars because it took 2 months get an appointment.
Unprofessional – Bad on 2 levels: Cleaning quality and customer service. Left several areas of my apartment uncleaned. And, never responded to my voicemail messages. Would NOT recommend this company at all.
Prompt. Professional. Pristine. – My house SO clean right now! This is my second time using You've Got It Maid Today. My review is for today's service, for which I would give five stars. I give them four stars because It is very difficult to get an appointment. However, they are worth the wait.
The first time a crew came from You've Got It Maid Today, they were on time, and professional, and did everything my living social voucher said they would do. Not bad. Not great. Nothing Special - so I understand the mixed reviews that I've read here. It seems like different crews give different quality.
The lady that answers the phone is really sweet and flexible. Even though they are booked up - she’ll take the time to find the next day and time that works for you .
The crew (3 people) that came today was ten minutes early, warm and kind yet truly professional, and in two hours they cleaned my apartment so well that I had to do a happy dance when I came home.
I keep noticing little things that they've handled (that I admit, I've neglected). It's the little things - like cleaning under the couch and book cases and bed, and even cleaning and lining the crumb tray in the toaster oven. Oh – and did I say I have a DOG? They handled the pet hair – and were really sweet to her, too.
Seriously - this work was worth full price. Having used a coupon I kind of feel like I stole something.
They were so good I just called them to sing their praises and make my next appointment. I can’t WAIT to have them back. But I will have to. They are booked up until freakin SEPTEMBER. I’ll be booking my Christmas and New Years’ appointments in July ;)
Good luck getting an appointment – I am unable to comment on the quality of the cleaning itself since I was unable to make an appointment. They have a special line set up for Living Social customers that they never answer. I tried for four days before I called Living Social for a refund, which they did give me. Living Social was professional and curteous as always, but this is a deal you should probably skip.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! – The worst cleaning service I've ever used and I bought the deal through Living Social. I thought I was saving money but they were so horrible I had to spend the rest of my day cleaning what they didn't.
ALSO, The appointment was at 8:30am and they didn't show up until two hours later.
HORRENDOUS CLEANING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! – Got this service from a "Groupon"-like deal.
Came home expecting to find the place spotless and instead was faced with the following:
Unexplainable filth on my toilet seat
Bathroom basin/sink untouched
Carpet not vacuumed
Kitchen counter not wiped
Furniture dusted AROUND objects placed on top
Shower not clean
and the list goes on........
I called to report my dissatisfaction, and the owner, Melanie apologized and scheduled a free cleaning with her "best team." She couldn't get them out for a good month and half, but I took it. When the time for the cleaning came, she first changed the arrival time, and then ended up canceling. She said she'd call me back to reschedule something, but never did. When I called back to make another appointment (in April), she said that she couldn't get a team out to me until July!
Absolutely horrendous customer service and cleaning service.
There are plenty of other Maid Services to use, so please do yourself a favor, and boycott this one!
