I just brought my dog home from the South Sacramento Pet Hospital yesterday and the Doctor did a fabulous job stitching her up. What I like about them is that they always take care of everything, all the time at a reasonable price. I always have issues if I go somewhere else.
Like Family – The doctors and staff are wonderful. I feel like we've been through so much together - we're like a family.
Very helpful and caring doctor – It's great that I can come in on a walk in basis as needed, doctor and staff are courteous and very helpful doctor is assuring and great with all my animals good job!
Awesome! – I love the staff, the prices and the care. I love knowing that my puppies are in great care. You guys are seriously awesome!
The Best Care – I started coming to So. Sac Pet Hospital on an emergency dec 09, my youngest dog needed stiches and I havent gone anywhere else since. The staff takes such good care of all 3 of my Rottie's from well care to the surgery my oldest dog just had. Dr. Samaan did the very risky surgery to remove a tumor from a very tricky spot. Dr. Kamboj did the follow up care. I was so scared I was going to lose my dog, but all the staff was so supportive to me and took the most awsome care of my "old gal". I can't say enough about the Doctors or the staff. This is where I will always take my pets.
Doggie Disaster – I had an emergency with my dog and this facility was very helpful and quick to attend to my dog. They were very understanding and helpful. I continue to take my dog in for re-checks every 3 days. They have been wonderful during our time of crisis. I would recommend the hospital for your pet needs. Dr. Kamboj and his staff are caring and treat Panda with compassion and gentleness.
Highly Recommend – My dog was attacked on 12-29-10 by a rottweiler. I took my dog, Midnight, there right after the attack. As many of you know that own animals they are a family member that you love and want to protect. I was so nervous that he wasn't going to survive. They took us back immediately and took xrays. He had a fractured hip, possibly a ruptured stomach and rectum. He would need surgery. I went ahead for the surgery. After the surgery he told us that this was one of the worst dog attacks he has seen in a very long time. He stomach was ripped from one end to the other and his rectum on up his back. His tail had 2 punctures which resulted in about 3/4 of his tail amputated. The cost was $1560.00. We were able to take him home the next day. He had 7 tubes which needed to be cleaned 2-3x a day. Which I was able to do. Then one of his tubes got infected and they kept him for 2 weeks because of the infection. Dr. Kamboj was the vet that took care of my little baby. He was very understanding and only charged us $200.00 for the two weeks that he was there. Dr. Kamboj was very nice as well as his staff. My dog is still healing and still going in for check ups. I would highly recommend Dr. Kamboj and his staff. They were great. Thank you all for everything you have done for Midnight.
Quality Care – I've taken two of my dogs to this hospital and have had a good experience. Being able to Walk-in is very convenient and wait times are generally short. These Vets are knowledgeable and caring. Highly recommend!!!
Finally... a vet that isn't a salesman – I have an old dog with health issues and a young dog. I have always hated visiting vets. They seem to just do procedures and tests to get money. However, i went to one vet for for a few years about a decade ago who was a little too non-interventionist. South Sac Pet Hosp vets are the middle ground. I've had two different vets there, and the last couple of years, I've had the same vet each time. They examine the dog thoroughly when i bring him in, and they ask me questions and talk to me. I don't like spending a whole lot of money on an old animal, so i appreciate that they don't jump to tell you about tests and procedures. They either have the 'medical cost for animals' issue in perspective, or they are just good at reading their clients. Sometimes they will mention a test, why it MAY be helpful, and tell me the cost, but they don't pressure me. One of the best things is that my old dog is on anti-inflammatory and thyroid meds, and i can just go in and pick up refills. in the past, i've had vets that require that you bring the dog in and pay for an office visit/exam in order to get a refill. These guys only book you an office visit if you request it. Prices for visits are reasonable, and a couple of times i didn't have to pay for follow up visits. If a medication seems expensive, they can suggest alternatives. The doctors care about the animals, it is clear, and they listen to the human client. And the building is nice and new. I've never had to wait more than five minutes to see a doctor. When my young dog needed to be spayed and vaccinated, i called around, and they are on the less expensive side (except for, of course, the SPCA and some mobile clinics which were inconvenient for me).
excellent doctors – I've owned dogs for 50 years and while Iv'e have been fortunate to have the majority of them pass on due to old age, I've had 2 that have had major illnesses that were diagnosed by Dr. Kamboj and later verified by specialists. During their treatment Dr. Kamboj went out of his way to help us through the difficult time and demonstrated his caring nature. I currently have 2 Old English Sheep Dogs that are under his care and I'm confident that theyare getting the best care possible.
