Outstanding Service and Fare....
Visited Kathleen's Tea Room with my 5 year old daughter this afternoon. First time visitor.
Tea (Vanilla) was excellent. Scone was tremendous. Fruit was delicious. We were just there for tea and scones, but I saw the dessert tray (chocolates, cakes, etc.) at the next table and it looked great, too.
Service could not be better - especiallly Barbara. My young daughter had the Vanilla tea with me (she loved it) then mentioned that she wished she had alos tried the English Breakfast as well. I went up to Barbara and mentioned this to her, and a few minutes later, she brought a small pot for her (at no charge). As a matter of fact, when my daughter and I first sat down, Barbara brought a special tea cup (gold rimmed with roses) to her "because she is so beautiful".
Great tea, great food, exceptional service, prices very reasonable.
All in all, a great experience - will return soon.

Not a good experience.
The tea and scones are good, but watch out for the klepto staff.

lovely.
Came here during thanksgiving weekend for the 1st time after wanting to check it out for years and i'm so glad I did. The place is known in Westchester and I heard could get pretty crowded but we lucked out and we were able to score 2 seats right in the window. It's cute and kitschy inside, tons of teapots, cups and saucers, floral wallpaper, retro toys. We both wanted high tea so it was $21ea. We got a tray full of finger sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, jam, treats, the works, I was in heaven. The only thing that was weird was that it didn't come w/ tea; you had to order it separately. I don't remember the exact name but we got some kind of strawberry tea which was great for the cold weather.
Aside from the high tea, they had a bunch of other items on the menu like salads, sandwiches, and soups which looked good.
I'm definitely coming back
ps: its cash only
