This place is horrible. It's great unless you move, want a drink, want to go to the bathroom, or have a problem that people need to solve. I begged for an email, or even a full name from a supervisor and I couldn't get one. I missed half of the concert, and I could see my friends 20 feet away that they wouldn't let me stand by. The security guys name was

Emanuel and he was only following orders, but when I went to find a supervisor he refused to give me an ID number, or a last name. He said his name was Richard, but I will find that out eventually from the Fillmore. I have worked security in the past and I have huge patience for staff at concerts. This place sucks and i will get my money back for the concert that they ruined for me.

Definitely a Venue Past it's Prime. – Maybe I'm just old school. Maybe I just think that a concert should be enjoyed. Or Maybe I'm just too old to think that the sole purpose for going to a concert is to get drunk and cause a fight. Last night's DropKick Murphy/Against Me Show was definitely ruined by the inordinate amount of drunken louts. And the definite lack of interest in what was happening by the bouncers - well, this is a venue I will NEVER visit again - unless I get the sick idea that I want to be pushed, hit, bullied, and molested by drunks. You know it's bad when the teenagers are leaving because they're disgusted by the drunken adults. Never Again, Fillmore. You're a venue past your prime!

WORST CONCERT EXPERIENCE EVER – I Am a 30 year old professional who lives/works in Boulder, CO, and recently attempted to attend a show at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, CO. On the eve of the concert I had the unfortunate experience of having my ID stolen. As anyone who loses an ID can attest it was a frustrating experience. Luckily, Common/NERD were coming into town to lift my spirits. Before heading out to the concert I noticed that IDs were required for entrance into the show. Surely they will let a 30 year old into the show without ID. I did not want to drink any alcohol that eve as I was the driver, and knowing this I felt confident I could attend. However, being a practical minded person I decided to call the theater to confirm. "Of course you can come", I was told. "Just make sure you bring the CC you used to purchase the tickets". I arrive to the show and get in line like all of the other fans and approach the ticket taker. At this point I Am asked if I have an ID. I explain the situation and tell them I spoke with someone at the theater earlier in the day.

At this point they bring in the "supervisor". I explain the situation to her and receive a large smile and her enthusiastically telling me I was out of luck. She was so excited to use her power to tell me get lost. You could smell it. At this point I ask to speak with the theater management. "That can not be done", I am told. I press. "Okay, let me go get them it will take a long while." I stand to the side of the building and notice this hourly worker laughing and pointing in my direction. Mocking my horrible experience. I again approach security and ask to speak with the supervisor and am again told to wait. After 15 minutes Ms. Hourly Wage sends a flunky over to tell me there is no chance I can get in. He politely follows this up with, "and if you continue to stand here we will call the police for loitering". For F@@!ng loitering.

The Fillmore Rocks! – The Fillmore is the best indoor venue in Denver. The sound is great and you cant get a bad view of the stage from anywhere. I agree with the other review that says not enough good acts come to the Filmore. Its always some obscure band, that attracts even more obscure people.

Since "Live Nation" took over they have removed most of the table and chairs....WTF???? The seating was one of the nicer features of the Fillmore, and the new owners screwed that up bigtime!

Personally, I have seen Govt Mule,(twice) .38 Special, The Doobie Bros. Merle Haggard, POD, and a few others I cant remember at the moment, and every show was excellent.

The recent Govt Mule show (4-27-07) had to be one of the best shows of the years so far! Warren Haynes was on fire!

Anyway, even without most of the tables and chairs, the Fllmore rocks, and is the best venue in town.

Good sized place for concerts – This is a perfect-sized place to see concerts. It's general admission and pretty much impossible to get a table and chairs, so plan on standing the entire time, which generally isn't a problem if you're enjoying the show. The setup works pretty well with good views of the stage regardless of where you are in the auditorium. Drinks are very expensive--I'd recommend drinking at a nearby bar before the concert and then just watching the show once you're at the auditorium. The bathroom lines are very long too--all the more reason to not drink a lot at the auditorium.

Colorado's premiere mid-size venue remains a jewel in the Clear Channel crown. – In Short
This music venue plays host to shows too big for the Ogden, but too small for an arena. SFX Entertainment changed all that in 1999, taking the decrepit Mammoth Events Center and transforming it seemingly overnight into one of Denver's finest venues. Since then, the succession of bands who have played here include A Perfect Circle, UB40, Brian Setzer, Duran Duran, System of a Down and Lynryd Skynyrd, to name a few.

Great concert hall – This is one of the best places to see a concert. It's not too big, where you feel overwhelmed, but it's not too small, where you feel cramped!

Fillmore needs more – decent shows!! A decent venue with a HUGE main floor and surrounding platform areas with tables, the Fillmore is an ideal venue for big name entertainers. But why is the Fillmore bringing in such mediocre talent? With the exception of Elvis Costello and a few others, this place seems to attract entertainers that are either has-beens or are just plain lame. Please, no more Phil Lesh or the like - we get enough of that stuff from Red Rocks. Count on a decent waitstaff and stiff (but pricey) drinks.
