Run of the mill mex food – The food tastes and is prepared much like a chain restaurant. Nothing special, nothing wrong, but rather your general, plain Mex food. If in Denver, go to a non-chain restaurant in the center city or NW Denver.

A family favorite! – Hacienda is one of the few restaurants we all love to visit! Sometimes you do have to wait for a table on a busy weekend, but that's the case at most popular restaurants. The margaritas are great, especially the frozen ones! Fresh lime juice is used - no bottled sugared-up sweet mix. And nothing beats a freshly-made tortilla. The kids menu is a nice change from most subarban fare - no chicken nuggets and burgers!

My favorite dish - Admiral Guzman's shrimp enchildas

Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors – Adobe architecture houses unique, Colorado-style Mexican cuisine smothered in seven sauce choices; extensive tequila and margarita menu.

Helpful Hints – Your service is not consistent, I have dined with you many times lately your food and service has been average instead of excellent. I don't know if there has been a change in ownership but somethings going on.

Excellent – I ahve been to this restaurant on four different occasions and have had some of the best service and best food of all of the restaurants I have been to in Denver. I have lived all over the country and loved the Hacienda swirl and the Jamie platter and the shrimp over the bed of rice is also an excellent choice, the servers are always attentive and I love that they communicate to each other through their head gear. Thanks for an excellent time and I will definitely be back for more.

Not Worth It – I have read so much hype about this place and decided to take the plunge. and was not impressed. Terrible serivce, we had some punk kid from the burbs walking around with a walkman on his head, and waited on everything. The food was average as best, there was nothing authentic in this place at all.

Hacienda Colorado – They say that a good restaurant is always busy. Well, this place is always busy. You may have to wait a little, but it is well worth it.

The chips and salsa are very tasty. The chile con queso is also very good.

I recommend anything with Hacienda's green chile sauce. It is tasty and has a very good kick to it (HOT!).

You can also call ahead to get your name "on the list" sooner if you would rather not wait!

Why so harsh??? – People who rate the wait time forget that the reason it is so long is because this place is so popular!! The food is great, the service wonderful and consistent, the restuarant beautiful and an overall dining joy. I highly recommend this place (even with kids!), but call ahead! This is a huge restuarant and one kitchen can only feed so many people, but they do it with finesse and professionalism that is hard to find in restuarants nowadays. Keep up the good work!!

Yeesh! – What is it about this place? Alcohol? I tried it twice. Both times it was too crowded - not a bad thing if it's worth the wait. I think it's due to the slow service. I watched servers make many empty-handed trips. It reminds me more of a place to "hang out" after work... like at those places near Park Meadows. Too much $$ for the dining experience. I prefer the "hole-in-the-wall" places to this. If I want this atmosphere, I'll hang out in the DTC or Park Meadows. Oh... didn't like the chips and salsa.
