Very Poor Management.
Ever since we moved from the Learning Center to the Toddler Center, our experience has gone downhill.
The lady at the front desk, Amy, who is apparently the director looks like she's always in a bad mood and has an attitude problem. I've heard her bad talking behind other parents' back after they walked out the door. I'm not sure how she got hire into this position. She is not a nice person and should not be working around kids. We had to take our kids out because it's was so bad. Some of the "teachers" are not fit to be a "teacher". I would not recommend the Toddler Center to anyone as long as it is under this same management. If you kids are over 12 mos and under 3, avoid this place.
Best Center Around!!.
My daughter has been attending Orchard Valley since she was 5 months old and I've been NOTHING BUT HAPPY with her care. The teachers are caring, know the kids individually and are their to be providers and educators not just babysitters. The toddler center is warm and inviting and all the teachers know most if not all the kids names, pretty impressive. The director, Amy, is caring, understanding and very knowledgable. We stupidly moved my daughter to a center closer to our house, we lasted a total of 3wks before we moved her right back to Orchard Valley, it was terrible in comparison!
Hands down the best center in Colorado!
Great place. I am a mother of a 2 years old daughter, I am very happy with orchard valley center, I tried a several daycares in the area and they were'nt the same as the orchard valley, my daughter have a daily sheet with her when she leaves the day care with all day activity that she had during the day and it shows what she had for lunch, the number of times she potty.I also had a very pleasant experience last week with the 2yrs classroom, my daughter was not feeling well and i had to work that day, so my daughter's teacher (Irena) call me every 60 minutes to update me on my child's condition, she was very protective and knowledgeable with my daughter and very trender, i was empressed of how the teachers are well trained. the yalso have the best director ever that she can work things out with the parents, she have a wonderfull background in this business, her name is Amy and she is very well educated and knowledgeable and undrestanding person, she always meet the parents with a smile and call every individual by their names, i always asked her for some information and she calls me immediately with the research she did for me, i really think that this is the best place to keep you child safe and neat if you are a working mom.
One happy mom. I am the mother of twin boys. When my husband and I decided on child care, we initially chose a nanny. After three very unsucessful nanny situations, we looked to day care facilities. We were initially uneasy with putting the boys in a day care so we did a large amount of due diligence. We came to the decision of enrolling in Orchard Valley. This has turned out to be the BEST decision that we have made regarding the boys' care. The teachers and administrators are wonderful. They have been very accomodating to a jittery mother. They have put all my fears to rest. They have also been helpful with my decision to either keep the boys in the same room or separate them. We tried both options and concluded that they are best together. I don't know many other day care centers that would have worked with me like that. The boys love going to school. They are constantly engaged by the teachers and learn new things every day! My husband and I are so happy with the boys in this safe and nuturing environment. The administrators; Amy, Dorthea, and Mandy greet all the parents and children by name and always with a smile. We have been in the one-year old room and now the two-year old room. The teachers really know how to work with the children and I am happy to call them the boys' second mothers. There are always great activities for them like water day, Fun bus, and nature hikes, to name a few. I couldn't be more happy with our decision to enroll in Orchard Valley.
A Great Place for your child!. My daughter has been going to Orchard Valley Toddler Center for almost 2 years. When we started our search I visited several day care centers and just didn't feel right about most of them. As a new mother I wanted the very best for my child. The moment I walked into Orchard Valley, I knew I would be bringing my daughter there. The staff was very friendly and the center itself was very nice! (Much nicer than many other centers that we visited). The classrooms are big, the facility is immaculately clean and the playgrounds are wonderful. The center has seen some staff changes over the time that we have been there but the level of customer service has not changed! Amy the director greets all of the parents and children by name (I think that is pretty impressive) we have been pleased with most of our teachers at the center and any issues that one might have, are taken seriously by the staff and dealt with accordingly. I feel very good about taking my daughter there, she has so much fun and is learning so much - I would highly recommend Orchard Valley Toddler Center to parents looking for a great day care facility for their 1-3 year old!
poor office mgmt and class room. I feel that the people that greet you are a tell tell. My child starting to go to the school and after about a week I knew that I had picked the wrong place. The girl at the front desk Amy who is also the director, never greets with a smile and always seems to be unhappy. This is true and follows through to the class room where my child was at. Everytime I picked her up she was sitting in a highchair table and crying. I feel that there was no compassion or caring going on here. Plese check around and find another place to go.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS THERE!!!!!. My kids were in the school 3 weeks. My youngest they never were able to make her feel loved and safe. We ahd to take her out. The teachers spoke with a russian and indian accent. I couldn't understand them half the time.
Avoid!. Avoid the 2yr and under classes. Teachers seem do not be very educated with small children. Director is should not be working around kids. She is not very kind and is very abrupt. She was not helpful with the fact taht I did not like my childs class or teacher. SOme of the 2 and under classes are dull and teachers speak with a Heavy acent.
