Great Atmosphere - perfect for dinner after theater or movies – Went to O'Neals with some friends after a move last night. It was the perfect place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. The food is delicious and the portions are generous especially for the price. We all loved what we ordered...I had a burger which was deilicous. Loved the front bar, nice and open with a very friendly bar staff. I will definitely be back even if it's for a drink.
Yawn... again – Went back here to see if anything had changed. Nope. If you like Florida country clubs, then this is the place for you. Food is ok - not great, not bad. Prices are ok - not expensive, not cheap. Service is good. Everything about this place is mediocre, sorry to say. Not terrible, but nothing memorable either. Shame.
Elegant food, right across from Lincoln Center – If you are looking for a casual-dress, reasonably-priced dinner - this is not the place for you. That said; if you want to be treated like royalty or you want to impress the girl with an elegant meal before taking her to the opera, ballet, or concert - this IS the place for you. We were escorted to a lovely table in a little corner where we had privacy to converse, but could watch the "goings on". We were dining "pre-opera" and I didn't want to eat heavy, so I ordered the Avocado & Hearts of Palm Salad as an entree and the waiter was happy to substitute my dressing preference for that which was offered. My husband and grandson ordered the Black Angus Sirloin w/ blue cheese mashed potatoes, and the grilled lamb chops, respectively. Both came as ordered and were quite delicious. (I know because I was given "chunks" of each to try while they dug in with gusto!! ) The service was very good. For a 3-course dinner of soup/salad or appetizer, entree, and dessert you will pay between $50 and $60 per person. However, it is right across the street from Lincoln Center, which gives you more time to enjoy the delicious food, fine service, and pleasant ambience. A special dinner for a special evening. (We made reservations for 5:30 p.m. and had plenty of time to get to our 7:30 p.m. seating at the Met. In fact, we were taking photographs by the Lincoln Center fountain at 7 p.m.)
