This is the best expierance i ever had at a laser spa. Diane and the staff made me feel very comfortable. The one thing that sold sold me on this place is the caution and care they had with me, during the consultation and during the service. I have been to many cities for laser because of my job and without any doubts Diane and her staff was number ONE!!!
And one other item is the pricing was very good compared to all my expierances.
We had a horrible experience with The Rochester Laser Spa and have been treated with nothing but disrespect by the owners. We are currently taking them to small claims court to get a refund for the $1,770 they charged us for laser hair removal on my daughter. After 23 painful treatments, she has just as much hair as the day we walked in. Not only that, they burned her and denied it, claiming it was "hyperpigmentation." Luckily I took her to a dermatologist and had her treated otherwise she would have scarred. Now, they are claiming that the laser treatments aren't working because my daughter has Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome! How ridiculous! My advice to anyone considering going to this VERY dishonest and dangerous establishment is to run the other direction.
Sally McNamara must have been mistaken at the time of his /her review Alicia was the manager. We have never been sued by a guest for any kind of injury. My ex laser spa associate use to joke around with that name, interesting! Thats why he's an ex associate. P.S I may be old 50's but I'm not grouchy. In my 36 years of doing hair I have never said to a guest it will grow,wouldn't that make someone even more unhappy?
Response to 12/3/10 review – I am the Salon Manager and work for the Laser Spa as well. We pride ourselves in sincere, top notch, customer service. If a client is dissatisfied in any way, we would do everything within our power to rectify the problem, or, we would certainly offer some type of compensation. Our Certified Laser Technicians have performed thousands of laser procedures in the past 7 years. We have never burned a client or received such a complaint. We have no record of the above named person.
Finally, it disturbs and saddens me to read such a dishonest portryal of our business. I enourage you to stop into the Salon or Laser Spa and find out for yourself.
Been going for years and have never had a bad experience. – I have been going to Michael Spitale for many years. Never have I had a bad experience, Everyone is always very friendly and pleasant. They always seem to fit me in when needed.
Bad Service - Bad Attitude from Owner – My friend and I were very disappointed with the service we received at this salon, when we asked to speak to the manager who I found out was the owner it was even more shocking. The owner Michael didn't want to hear anything about my complaint about my hair style, He just said "your hair will grow back in a month or so" Wow, very rude, I left with tears in my eyes. Avoid this salon & owner. He is old and grumpy!
My friend also had a miserable experience at the laser spa, she received burns in her bikini area and now is starting a lawsuit against the company. They don't know what they are doing. Stay away! Go to a doctors office for laser services.
Totally false review,I am the owner, I strive for 100% satisfaction and have never answered a complaint that way I love my business and clients,if you treat people well, care, and love, good things will be.Sad that an associate would post such lies.There are no lawsuits against the laser spa, all techs are certified and trained safety is#1. Great Salon – Spitale Salon is pretty upscale--- salon, gallery, laser spa, edgy and convenient (right near 12 corners in Brighton). It's all that - but the one thing it's not? Is pricey!
I only became aware of the salon due to initially getting involved with their web site but I wasn't much into the beauty business as it applied to my personal life. Well, let me tell you--- this evening my fiance and spent the evening there, and wow. We left very happy with our new looks! Albert had some laser hair removal done by Alice on his nose, face and brows while I was having my hair low lighted by Danny.
While my hair was processing, Albert managed to slip in for a hair style with Danny. (Can't have anything to myself anymore, lol!) Now Albert looks mad awesome with his new "do" and fresh face, and I don't know what Danny did to my hair (I left everything up to him to decide what color would be best and stuff), but the low lights he put in actually brought some of my natural highlights out and my hair now just -sizzles- with gorgeous well blended color.
Danny was meticulous, just very fun and friendly to talk with. The staff were all just so pleasant, but that didn't surprise me as I knew from working with Michael (Sr.) on the web site that he only works with nice people.
Albert and I were expecting a pretty hefty bill for all the work, and were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable it all was. We were treated like movie stars and the bill was way less that we'd planned on.
Great place, great people, great service, great price. Spitale's is the total package.
Awful Experience/Terrible Service/Overpriced – Where to begin...My sister booked three bridesmaid appointments (for her, myself, and a third). She was told repeatedly that the updoes would cost $45-$55. The man who did my hair did an awful job - He was supposedly a senior stylist, but a monkey could have done a better job. He loaded my hair w/ hairspray, could not get my hair to poof to save his life (when I did it myself the day before), and did not know how to use a curling iron. He referred to his creation as "stunning." Not even close.
I was charged $85.
The staff could not keep appointment times straight - there was a disconnect b/w the computer system and the hand written schedule. I had to debate w/ the incompetent receptionist for 10 min. to get her to honor my sister's and the third bridesmaid's appointment times (it's a big deal when you are on a strict schedule on a wedding day when your appointment gets moved back by an hour).
My sister had the same stylist as I did. He curled her hair, which is shorter than shoulder length, and charged her $85. She spoke w/ the manager, who reduced the price to $65, which was still more than my sister was promised. The manager then said she would reduce our price to $65, but that was six days ago, and I see no credit on my banking statement.
GREAT customer service with a beautiful smile – Only one word can sum up the service I got at Michael spitale salon "AMAZING". Not only is it at a great location to my home and work. The one on one attention I got from Leah was incredible, she took the time to do what I wanted " although it was not an easy task" she really went above and beyond her call. I would have played her 5 times the amount she asked for , and would have expected the job she did right out of manhattans finest salons.. Leah you have a true talent -Alanzo Richardo
fantastic salon – whoever rated this salon boring must have been another salon owner! This place is the best people watching place in roc.I didn't see one boring average style walk out of the salon in the 2.5 hours I spent there.just beautiful people and beautiful work michael did my highlights and cut and I am in love!!! His work is evident of his exceptional training he has even done hairshows overseas.He listens and will only do whats right on you.Everyone is so friendly I felt like I was back home in minneapolis.Also if the person who rated really knew anything about salons they would have noticed the custom copper and all the excellent artwork in the place.That salon belongs in new york city on madison ave.
