Poor customer service. – We live in Merriman Valley and this DG location is very convenient. But ever since the new manager (I think his name is Mike) has been at this location, there is never a DG employee at the register! I always have to go and find one. Every time I go in there, they are always stocking. Really? How much inventory do you need?! No lie; every single time I go in there, they are stocking. Some aisles are always jam packed with boxes and other crap. And the other thing that is really annoying about this store is that there is always a long line! What should be just a few minute wait in the line ends up being about a fifteen minute wait. The manager will be in the store and walk up to the front and see that his employee needs assistance because he/she has a line with 5-7 customers in it, but he will not open the other register! He'll just continue STOCKING! This happened to me the other day. I was in line with my 2 year old, and a sucker for 10 cents. The customer at the register was taking forever and there were 4 people in front of me. The manager was called up to the front to help with the issue. He helped I guess, saw the growing line, and still went back to doing whatever it was he was doing. Usually when you go into a grocery store like Giant Eagle or Acme, you at times almost expect to wait. But even then when a line grows, they will call for help or assistance. That shows that they care about your time and they want happy customers leaving the store. So at a DG, I'm really expecting to get in and get out. It's a shame; sometimes I will go out of my way and go up the hill to the Cuyahoga Falls DG on State Rd. (which is a GREAT DG by the way) just to avoid waiting in a long line at a DG 2 minutes away from my house.
