Bottom of the barrel – My wife had taken a Gucci watch in to have the battery replaced. They took so long working on the watch that she asked if there was a problem. The younger male, (craig)? replied saying that he was having a problem opening the watch and had to give it to David Heins who was more experienced... She received and paid for the watch and went on her way. Twenty minutes later she noticed that the crystal was scratched and the bezel had been chipped... On returning to the store, the manager (David) denied he or his assistant caused the damage and forced her out of the store... I returned to the store the next day and was told that no one had damaged the watch. So I asked to speak to the owner (Bert Heins), who was not in the store at the time. I did speak to him by phone the next day. He told me not to bring the watch back so that he could inspect it because he had talked to his employees and they were not reponsible for the damages... We were left totally unsatisfied with their so called " A Jeweler You Can Trust" motto.
C & A
Heins Jewelers-poor craftsmanship and poor customer service – I recently had Heins Jewelers re-size both my engagement ring and 2 anniversary bands. I asked for an estimate on having the engagement ring shank reconstructed as it is rather thin. I received a call the next day stating the goldsmith doesn't feel it needs reconstucted and they will proceed with resizing. I was pleased as I felt that this meant I would avoid some costs! Imagine how I felt when I went in today to pick them up and all 3 of the rings are thinner and uneven/warped. The woman helping me expressed apologies for the my dissatisfaction and called a gentleman over. He told me that he didn't know if they were more thin or not as he did not check the rings in! I was completely surprised at an employee speaking to a customer in this manner especially after I told them theyy were definitely thinner. Before I left I explained to the woman helping me that they lost a customer over this and the goldsmith should know that he did an unacceptable job. She started to call the gentleman over again and I told her he didn't care as he simply walked away and "hid" in an office after telling me that he didn't know they were thinner. My conlcusion is that Heins Jewelers: a) does not care about customer satsifaction and b) has an incompetent goldsmith. Unfortuantely for them, they have lost customer!
