I have been going to Ice Cold Air for two years now. I would not take my cars and trucks anyplace else for service. They are HONEST and FRIENDLY! My Ford truck has 300,000 miles on it and they keep it humming!
This is a terrible place to go! I brought my car in for a simple $15.00 oil change that I got a coupon for and they ended up finding a bunch of things "wrong" with my car. They fixed what was "wrong" and it cost me over $500.00 and when I picked my car up it had a bunch of problems with it that it didn't have before. I now have the ABS light on, my brakes barely working, and every time I turn the car on it makes a horrible screeching noise. When I brought it back to them they said it wasn't their fault, and they couldn't help me. So, I paid way more then I expected, and now I have a car with multiple issues. They were not friendly, and they were not helpful at all!
I'm 81 years old as long as I can Drive my car will only go to Ice Cold Air
Amazing service! – I had amazing service and will never go anywhere else!
A good repair job deserves a good review. – Our Cutlas A/C was intermittently getting warm with air flow diminishing so we took it in to Ice Cold Air expecting the worst but hoping for the best. Paul, the manager, said he would call us with an estimate, which turned out to be better than we thought, $75. Their inspection found a vacuum loss and traced it to the vacuum line from the storage canister through the left-front fender. That was August 3 and here it is October and the air's still working great. We told Paul we'd post a good review if they did a good repair job, and they did. Thanks Ice Cold Air!
New Owners...old reviews! – I've been going to this shop for almost 2 yrs now...I've NEVER had a problem with the service here.!! Mechanics are friendly and the shop mgr (owner?) Paul goes out of his way for his clients. Recently I had to have the tie rods on the passenger side of my car replaced...I also had to get to work. Paul drove me there!...what OTHER shop (besides a dealer..who's overpriced to begin with!!!) would do that????
I know a bit about cars as well, having worked on several with my late husband and ex boyfriend...(all mechanics) so I can tell when a shop is trying to "put one over"...THIS shop DOES NOT!!! Honest...reliable....reasonable...thorough and timely are all adjectives I've used to describe this shop! I recommend it to ANYONE looking for service!!!
Old Reviews – As the new owner of this franchise I would like to know what I can do to clear these old (several years) reviews. I am well aware of problems that occured long before myself and crew took over here. We have been here now for 20 months without one complaint. I am well aware of the value of great customer service and strive to satisfy each and every customer. Problems will occur when repairing automobiles and those problems will be handled here at the store level. These old reviews had nothing to do with the present ownership or technicians but do reflect us in a negative way and should be put in the proper perspective. Please let me know what I can do to clear the air. Thanks.
DO NOT GO HERE WHATEVER YOU DO!!! THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME! – When I first when into Ice Cold Air on 4th St. They gave me an estimate and had me pay UP FRONT, because according to the guy at the front desk "I cannot get the parts unless I have the money to buy them". I did not know any better, being a woman who does not know much, if anything, about cars. I paid up front and had my car "fixed". Only to find out it wasn't fixed...and I had to go back the following day and pay MORE money up front to have it fixed again. This went on about six times...and nothing was solved. I was out 800+ dollars in and still had an air conditioner that only worked on 2 and 4 (which is what it worked on to start with). They kept giving me the run around and completely took advantage of the fact I was a woman with no knowledge of cars. THEY NEVER FIXED MY CAR!! I NEVER GOT MY MONEY BACK! and to top it off now my A/C doesn't work AT ALL! and the dash of my car melted from where they rigged it to work for a short period of time. DO NOT.....DO NOT.....DO NOT....GO TO THIS ICE COLD AIR! THE WORST AND MOST DECEIVING BUSINESS I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH!! I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH...GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!!!
Manipulative, Fraudlent, Overcharging, and Out for the Quick Buck!!! – I had a 2003 Honda Accord with a less than usually cold A/C unit brought to the St. Pete store on 4th St., on the recommendation of the manager of the local Advance Auto Parts store. The 'free' evaluation showed that the pressure in the system was too high, and needed to be reduced. The Ice Cold Air salesperson suggested a flush and fill, and said it would be $189 plus tax. Not knowing the dynamics involved in the procedure, 20 minutes later, I heard the tech say there were no major leaks and that he simply let out some of the excess pressure from the system and that I was ready to go. The manager of the Ice Cold store then proceeded to charge me $206 for this 20 minute service. I shared this with the manager and coworkers of the Advance Auto Parts store, and the manager of AAP found this price to be unbelievable for the service and time involved, and said he will no longer be referring customers to this franchise if this is not rectified. When I confronted the Ice Cold Air sales manager in a respectful but firm manner, he told me essentially tough luck. As a businessman myself, I know that while I could make a quick profit defrauding customers, over the long run, I and my business would suffer losses. Word of mouth is crucial in maintaining customers, unless an entire business is based on laying in wait for unsuspecting naive persons to walk in the door, much like a spider in a web. I hope this company changes its shady and self-serving practices... Otherwise let everyone and your brother know not to go here, as they are untrustworthy and glad to manipulate you based on your ignorance (unfortunately, we can't all be mechanics).
