Great salon And spa-But not John as a Hair stylist – I recently visited Amici's . I had John as my stylist and he is not only extremely ruff and rude but loud and does not know what to do when i asked for hi-lites. He put straight bleach on my hair and it not only ran through to the under layers making them extremely orange but when he dried my hair he so-called palmed my hair until it was dry and felt like he had ripped all my hair out. I will never go back to him again for i have had great experiences there with other hair stylists. i will be going back but not to him. What a rude man he was! He could use a little bit more newer techniques like foiling which i have recieved everytime i have asked for hi-lites except from him.

Wonderful experience – Amici Salon in Winter Springs is GREAT. I have been going there since it first opened and have always had a very good experience. The best hairdresser there is Linda. I have gone to lots of hairdressers in the past, but once I found Linda, I have never gone to anyone else. She takes the extra time to get to know you and actually listens to what you want to have done with your hair. My color looks very natural and the cut looks so good, that I have people asking me all the time where I get my hair done. If you are looking for a great hairdresser and a beautiful spa setting, look no farther!!

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER....FIRST CLASS SALON and SPA..... GREAT ATMOSPHERE – We just had the greatest experience ever at Amici's Salon and Spa. Our office was treated to a day at the spa at their Winter Springs location. I personally had a massage and my hair colored. The massage was absolutely awesome I fell asleep before it was done. Afterwards I had my hair highlighted and cut. It was the best experience I have ever had. The stylist was not only professional but knowledgeable. She helped me pick out a great look and gave me tips on how to keep it looking GREAT. While I was there the manager came over to make sure I was taken care of and to offer me a beverage. He was approachable and asked me to let him know if there was anything else I needed to let him know. Amici's made all of us feel like we were in Hollywood. Everyone was satisfied with the expert service as well as the friendly atmosphere. In addition the Salon is gorgeous, there is nothing like it in the Orlando Area. The building is HUGE and the employees are so nice we all hated to leave. We have gone to other so called "Spas" but this is the real deal. We had massages, facials, pedicures and our hair done, and we all had a fabulous experience. Afterwards we all agreed to make Amici's Salon and Spa our annual "Day of Beauty". I highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for a real Day Spa with a great atmosphere.

Angela is the best stylist and one of the most caring persons I have met! Glad to have been a new client! – They say the best of things are always hidden, and such was my experience at Amici. I am a little more vintage like wine, never say old, just vintage. hahaha. I had a most pleasurable experience with Angela at Amici's about 3 weeks ago. She made me feel young because the way she styled my hair made me look young! I was a little afraid and hesitant at first on her recommendations because my husband is very finicky about my hair. Yes! My husband loves my hair! Angela was very caring and addressed all the problems I expressed. At times I can be a bit of a pain and stubborn on my ways, at least that is what my daughters tell me. Angela did an excellent job on both the styling and the color. My husband, well he just loves her for how she made me look! There are few people I recommend and usually not publicly; but my husband suggested it and I love him as he loves me. So here I am typing away. Hehehe

For those looking for a stylist who is a people person, go to Angela. Its also nice to know that she is one of the very few stylists in that salon that keeps up her education. Which tells me she likes to grow. I found that educational tidbit on Angela from the front desk when I was paying my bill.

I will definitely be making my appointment again with Angela in 2 weeks. For me well, I am glad the front desk gossips abit. It helped me get more information on Angela as I was a new client to Amici's on that day. The more I heard the more I was glad that she is a stylist at that salon. Like I tell people, dont go there because I said so. Just go there and experience her personality and professionalism and well you just will come back to her, its a given. Why? Because its the hidden things that are always grand your life.

Amici – Linda rescued my hair. With only one look at me, she pinpointed everything that was wrong with my color and cut. Not only that, she had great suggestions for exactly what changes I needed for my face shape, etc. She takes her time and pays attention to each of her clients.

Amici Salon and Spa in Tuscawilla – Like everything there are good and bad. My hair was destroyed by a stylist from a different salon. I went to Amici on my cousin's recommendation. The best thing that happened to me was I got to sit in Angela M's chair. Granted the procedure took a little longer than expected, but let me tell you! The end result was WOW!! After consulting with several stylists from different salons all i was told was that I had to let my hair grow out and due to the color fiasco from what the other stylist had done that it would take a couple of months to properly correct it. Most of the stylists I had previously consulted told me they would not touch my hair. Angela, well she gave it the personal touch. She listened to my concerns and voiced her professional opinion. I had bands all around my hair. She was honest and told me that it may take a couple of visits to get it to where i wanted it. Maybe she underpromised but at the end of the four hours the color band were gone, my hair was back to its beautiful color. I was amazed. I am still going to this salon but its because of her that I keep going. Excellent professionalism, a definite can do attitude with a gentle customer flair.

The bad side well alot of the other reviews are correct about the front desk. They are a gossip columnist dream come true! They should be more attentive that while I am waiting there for my appt I really don't want to overhear who did what with whose boyfriend. They also have somehow deleted or misplaced my appointments with Angela and they refuse to take ownership when these mistakes happen. At least when I tell Angela,, like a true professional she apologizes on their behalf. Go to the salon but be picky whom you choose as a stylist. MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION--go see Angela!

Far from relaxing... – i went in for a massage and facial. let me just say this was not the treat i was hoping for. the "spa" area is a joke. the employee break room is apparently located *inside* it and throughout my services all i heard was the door opening and closing not stop and constant chitter chatter and obnoxious noise throughout. not to mention the restrooms located *inside* the "spa" as well, so in addition to the breakroom noise i had to hear toilet flushing and guests waiting to use. also the rooms were really ugly and grimy looking.

also, during my facial i noticed the lady DID NOT USE STEAM!!? what? i asked her and she agreed that steam should be used in a facial but the owner wont let them use it because he doesn't believe in it. never heard that one before!

what else...lobby area was packed and insane, gossiping employees and goofy manager.

all in all, just a really difficult place to relax.

i've had my hair done before and that was great...but for my "spa" services i'll go elsewhere. the technicians were nice and great at what they did, but the atmosphere was just rediculous.

Amazing colorist!!! – You know what they say about moving... the worst part is finding a dentist, doctor, and hairstylist. When I moved back to the area, my husband and I were out to dinner and I couldn't stop staring at the girl at the next table's hair. She had the best hilights I've ever seen, with a bob ( you know the one, where it's shorter in the back) that fell around her face just right. Anyway, she actually had a card for the stylist, Jillian Major, in her purse... she gave me one and said I wouldn't be disappointed. During my first visit, Jillian was very professional, taking the time to consult with me and planning a cut that works with my inability to style my own hair :D In the end I got a full hilight, cut ( think Katie Holmes' new do'), and blowdry. Top notch all the way. She was friendly but let me read my us weekly, and recommended this killer product that I now can't live without. My next appointment is in a few weeks, and I can't wait. I'm never moving again.

Awful Experience – I was pretty excited about going to Amici Salon. From the outside it appeared to be well kept. The inside was another story. The chairs in the lobby were old and dirty. The front desk was a gossip area for stylists and receptionists with nothing to do. They were loud and quite annoying. There were few stylists and manicurists that were actually working. I made a appointment in advance to get my nails completed. I needed a soak off and a gel full set. Christina was the nail tech who took care fo my nails. They scheduled 10 minutes for a soak off of acyrilics. Then 30 minutes for a full set. There was a woman scheduled after me. The woman after me had to wait at least 20 minutes. Christine rushed through my nails not even finishing them. She said she was a "gel expert". She was so busy talking to other customers and/or bragging about her self that she did a very horrible job on my nails. It was disgusting. She also told me she works out of her house and if the salon knew she would be in trouble. She was advertising her other buisness instead of focusing on me the actual customer. After spending 90 dollars plus a tip which I did not want to give as she did not even finish my nails, no filing/top coat nothing. I thought something was strange but I went on my merry way trusting the salon and the way that it appeared to look, high service. I will never go there again. I recommend that if you need nail services done go to Magic nails Salon and Spa, they fixed what Christine messed up for a third of the price. My nails now look like they should. Do not go to this salon, unless of course you are interested in who got fired, who is dating who and what customers lives are messed up. Even other manicurists were rolling their eyes at the girl doing my nails! Please give your buisness elsewhere. Also there is not a comment section on their website to even state concerns, which is worrisome! Dont make the ninety dollar mistake I did!
