Stay away from this restaurant – I have been to Tony Roma's in other cities. This one was the worst. The service was very poor and slow. They were out of their signature potato soup. How does that happen? We tried an appetizer sampler which included:
Spinach Artichoke Dip - Adequate
Onion Loaf - Greasy, tasteless
Boneless Buffalo Chicken Bites - Tasted like the frozen ones from the grocery store.
We quickly decided that we were not going to spend anymore money here. We went to Moon River right down the street and had an excellent meal. I would not recommend this place for any reason.
Baby back ribs served with signature barbecue sauces are the hallmarks of this popular national chain. – In Short
This award-winning restaurant chain is known primarily for its baby back ribs, but through the 30-plus years since its flagship location opened in North Miami, the family-friendly menu has expanded to include barbequed chicken, char-grilled steaks, burgers, pasta, seafood and salads. All ribs are served with one of the accompanying sauces (Original, Carolina Honeys, Blue Ridge Smokies, Red Hots, or Honey-Chipotle), and two sides like coleslaw, fries, or a baked potato.
very disappointing ribs – My wife and I ate at Tony's on a Thursday afternoon while they weren't very busy. I was very excited about the ribs as I love bbq. I know some people are very picky about their bbq but these were horrible. I ordered a full slab that anywhere else would have equaled a half slab. Our server was nice but forgot numerous items that we asked for like bread and extra bbq sauce. As an app. we ordered their mini steak sandwiches that were supposed to come with mustard dipping sauce. Three small sandwiches not much bigger than a half dollar came out with a pencil thin line of sauce on the plate. The steak wasn't bad in them, but for the price it was skimpy. There are way too many good places to eat in Savannah besides Tony's. I would avoid this place. I had asked my wife when we first walked in why the place was so empty at 6pm, now I know why.
Good food – the food was decent. i enjoyed my veggie burger. we ordered bruschetta and while the flavor was good, the bread was warm and the tomatoes were cold. it would have been better all at one temperature. decent service.
Great Place to Eat! – I can't say enough about Tony Roma's! I am not a big rib eater but I absolutely love their ribs. The steak, shrip, draft beer, sides, desserts, and appetizers are amazing. It is such a great place. The service deserves some bragging as well. They are usually very prompt with seating. The last time we ate there, the place was packed and only two servers. We still were seated, ate, and left within 45 min. It was great food and though the waitress was busy, we still had wonderful service.
