I love the way my friends and family tell me that I look so rested, happy and well. No frozen face! Dr. Darm is always so warm and reassuring. I feel totally safe in his care. The call the day before appointment is very helpful.
I had gone a couple of times for two different procedures, and the staff both times were rude. They never showed any concerns or care about my skin, never cared to ask me if I have any questions or anything at all! Im not sure if they are that rude because they dont get pay well and thats why the prices are cheaper than many places but even if thats the reason, they should treat you better, is customer service.
Rude and careless staff
I am a needle phobic person and the doctor was very patient and careful. I don't know why I was nervous. It didn't hurt as badly as I imagined. She explained everything!
Awesome! The doctor did a perfect job on sculpting my hips to a more proportionate size. She saw areas that i hadn't previously considered. She made me feel comfortable in a somewhat uncomfortable situation. Also, I was thrilled that the doctor considered my Type I Diabetes and was ok to to proceed on my LipoLift even though I have Diabetes. Other places won't consider me. I liked the running video of before and after photos.
This review is for Dr. Darms weight loss program.
- The program (low cal liquid diet) works if you stick to it. They prescribe fentermine to help with hunger if you need it.
- Doctors and staff are professional and friendly
- Weekly seminars are helpful sometimes
- $$$$. Expensive.
- Questionable accounting practices. No detailed bills provided - just the credit card receipt with a total. When I asked for a detailed statement, they kept making excuses about why they couldn't give me one.
- No clear plan or timeline for getting off the restricted (shake) diet. Its was disconcerting when I was told I might have to stay on the shakes for life because my body couldn't handle real food.
I have tried every diet that has ever been created! This is by far the easiest program to stay on. NO CHOICES, NO COUNTING. It takes the pressure off and focus off of food so you can concentrate on the "why" you are overweight. All along the awesome staff are teaching, supporting and helping me to reach my goal! i know I ill get there and when I do Aesthetic Medicine will have taught me the tools to stay there!
I've not met Dr. Darm yet but I assume the great team comes as a result of a great leader or from the top. But I have to ask Dr. Darm, why do all of your team's first names begin with "L"? Every person I have come in contract with on my first visit was compassionate, caring, and committed. The 3 "C's" of an excellent team.
Leslie in the front office is the best customer service I've ever had in a longtime. She was so patient and understanding and willing to work with me on my needing to reschedule. We had not met until my first appointment and and she remembered me and the sad issues of why I rescheduled. I love her.
Laina was amazing! She explained everything she was doing for me. She was very comfortable, comforting, and soothing. I was so pampered!
Microderm - love it! Nothing like what I thought it would be at all. Very relaxing and soothing.
I spoke with Laura post microderm to find out more information related to acne and scar treatments. She was another great person. I enjoyed speaking with her.
I visited Dr. Darm's office for the first time on Friday. It was my maiden voyage with Dysport. My best friend had had it before, and talked me into the experience. There was a special rebate for the Dysport, as well as a new client discount. When my friend called to make the appointment, she was told they couldn't find her in the computer, that they had a new operating system, and that she would be treated as a new client, so would get the discount as well. We went for our appointment, and when the Dr. (I'm not sure what his name was, it WASN'T Dr. Darm), he suggested that we each get two syringes of the Dysport, rather than one. My friend asked if we would get a rebate for both syringes and he said yes. We both agreed to get two syringes (100 units) injected. We had the injections, and went out to make payment. What a joke! It was a total bait and switch type of scenario. First, they tried to tell my friend that she wouldn't get the new client discount, after it was promised to her, they tried to charge her full price, and for more units than she used. The office manager finally, in a very rude manner said to give her the discount. Then, when they were explaining the rebate, we were told that we could get a rebate on only one vial of the dysport. We told them that we only agreed to get the two vials because of the rebate for both, that we weren't budgeted for that much without the rebate, and we only made that decision based on the dr.'s assurance that both would be rebated. It took about 45 minutes of back and forth before they decided to comp the amount for the second rebate for each of us. We tried to have the dr. come out and speak to the truth of it, we tried to have the nurse (who was in the room and heard him say it) come out to verify that what we were saying was true, but that didn't happen. They need to have staff training on what the rebates are, and they need to have some PR training for the staff in general as to how to treat a client that disagrees with them. We were polite, we were professional, I only wish they could have been the same. It has left a VERY bad impression on me.... I was considering other procedures, and in fact we were going to speak with Annie about other procedures after we paid our bill, but this is one facility that I will never use again. The trust of a client begins at the front desk, and this is one establishment I wouldn't use. I can't trust them to tell me the truth about such basic things as if I get a discount or not, or the truth about a rebate..... I won't trust them with the more sensitive things such as the procedures. I would suggest that they have the clients pay before receiving treatment, so there can be no doubt as to what you're paying for. As well, if a client has a question that the dr. isn't clear on, such as rebates, have someone that deals with that from the office come back to the room to discuss it. If a dr. tells the client something, the clinic should stand behind it, even if it was misinformation.We did not feel valued either as a client or a customer, and will take our business elsewhere in the future
I recently lost 50 pounds and I have had years of not caring myself. I am self conscience about my appearence right now and I am simply starting with juvaderm and will build on that. I realize I have a long ways to go but no one was snobby or made me feel bad.
I went to one other place first (Dr Lee) for a consult for fraxel and juvaderm and I felt very very pressured there and they also made me feel bad about myself.
Not so with Dr Darm!
I went to go see Dr.Barr at Dr.Darms office and she was very nice and did not pressure me at all when I said I just wanted to get one syringe of juvaderm today --and then if everything went okay.. I would come back for round 2 next week.
She could have easily listed all the reasons I should just get both syringes right then but she said "That's totally fine"..
A lot of attention was paid to my personal pain level and she stopped to make sure I was okay and comfortable every step of the way.
I am a very anxious person and if Dr.Barr managed to put ME at ease, she should be a dream to any "normal" person;)
My lips and vertical forehead lines look fantastic! Can't hardly wait to go again next week!!

Staff was nice and sweet and I'm not sure what I was so nervous about!
As always, the front desk is hospitable. It starts any experience off right away! They are just as nice when I am leaving which says sincerity.
